  1. V-Max master prolly work. In any event, sounds like too much fiddling and while I love "fiddling" with stuff I have too many things to "fiddle" with at the time so I'll leave it stock. Am gonna go out there and swap the EBCs back out for the pads that were on it so I'll have those EBCs for the right front the next time they need replacing.
  2. Thanks do appreciate the info. Didn't even know the brakes were linked!!!! That explains everything I do think. Side note though,,,, has anyone ever segregated the front and rear then combined the two fronts?
  3. Today I found that the left side caliper is getting absolutely no hydraulic pressure when the brake lever is pulled. First I thought it was a corroded bleeder so I took it out. Still no fluid. I then undid the banjo bolt from the brake house and still no pressure. Far as I went today. Looks like I either have a collapsed brake line or a T fitting that is blocked. In any event, are aftermarket steel braided lines available for a 86 Venture? Also,,,, anyone ever have this happen? No inherent weirdness that plaques these front braking systems are there?
  4. Bought a 1986 Venture around two months ago. So far all I have done is some local riding one up for the most part. Welp, it did it's first good sized ride two up this past weekend. The wife and I went a ways up the Blue Ridge Parkway and did some camping up on Mt Mitchell. Worked like a top I must say but I do have a couple of questions the first being a very low speed wobble/sensitivity when loaded up. I know it was due to the extra weight {we were loaded up fairly heavily} and having a passenger but still,,,, very low speed stuff was irritating/scary. The second gripe was a fairly low cruising range. The bike seemed to average right around 35mpg over a few tanks and I know that seems low but I was riding loaded down with camping gear and a passenger and it was curvy mountain roads. Anyway, seems the "E" flashes {fuel bars disappear} right around 150 miles. The manual states the fuel capacity is 5.5 gallons but even with the gage stating empty for quite some time {very nervous times at that} I could only get around 4-4.5 gallons in the tank. Heck,,, my FJR can easily go 250 miles and as much as 280 miles between fill ups. Even my DR650 will do around 180-200 miles. You would think that a "touring" bike would have more range but then again,,,,, it is a 22 year old touring bike.
  5. The picture tag isn't working for me so click the link-http://www.shopping.com/xPO-Kicker-Kicker-S12L54-12-DVC-SOLOBARIC Dang,,,, the "link" tag isn't even workin????
  6. Thanks for adding that. Need to zip by an audio place and get to looking.
  7. Thanks for the speedy reply and thank goodness they are of a "regular" size.
  8. Tried a quick search but didn't find anything so,,, what size are the speakers in a 86 Venture? Anyone have any recommendations on a good weather resistant replacement?
