  1. Have you tried, 1oz slug?
  2. I can email a USPS shipping label. What are package dimensions, weight and ship from address?
  3. Oh, where to begin....in the 70's ........ Aside from the Sears two wheeled lawnmowers, TS185, DT400 Enduros, trail bikes....in 1986 my first Yamaha "big bike" a gently used XV920 so I could afford to do a 110 mi commute. Later got promoted to a two wheeled outside desk job, known as KZ1000P13. Rode KZs for 14 years 1997 had a golden opportunity to acquire a perfect mint 1983 XVZ1200. all the mechanical upgrades, second gear, porous engine case cast, alternator bolt, water pump impeller, the beefed up front fork etc. The Venture came w/ THE king of kings of aftermarket accy's....a custom paint matched Yamaha Black Bushtec trailer............. Again in 2017 was given the golden opportunity to acquire a well maintained 2007 RSTD... unfortunately california gas, missed maintenance schedules, and other life distractions....28 yrs of service... retirement Catch-up maintenance/repairs get'em back on the road again.......Profound attachment to venerable V4, doubt I'll ride anything else to the end. Whatever that definition of the "End" will be............
  4. I agree with the ability to fine tune each carb to each cylinder. Wish I didn't have this problem. For a relatively modern machine I've never experienced a total lack of a component(s) for a critical part. My example...carburetor throttle shaft and the seals at each end, deemed unserviceable, not available separately from carb. My bike inop. So far the only two sources I've found: OEM dealership assy $1700 (+/-) some semblance of part warranty, maybe 2-3 months ship time Junkyard pull off assy $400-500 (+/-) no warranty of any kind, especially non-returnable Given the oversimplified option (possibility) of 4 into 1, maybe the cost/availability was a consideration at $300-400. Get bike back on the road............ I was looking at future maintenance/repairs and solving availability of parts
  5. I thank all for your info. Opens up potential for other solutions. A little bit closer to getting back on road.
  6. I apologize for coming to topic 7 years late, due to my current situation i came across this solution just yesterday evening (10-27-2022). On ebay.....this four into one intake manifold was posted Venture Royale XVZ1200 and XVZ1300 single carburetor manifold 1982 - 1989, eBay item number:175240492411 Re-reading the topic thread, are really good considerations. For me it's about spending est. $1700 due to a very unreasonable "unserviceable" part(s) maybe $30.00 worth plus labor and time I estimate maybe $250-300 and some custom garage shop engineering, I would get a very agreeable carb set up and away from un-obtainable parts............... What's your thoughts, and really curios has anyone done this?
  7. Good after noon, While trying to research an inquiry (carburetor(s) I got several returns, of course each incident "carburetor(s)" was highlighted throughout the body of the result. For me, it would have made easier reading, instead of eye distraction to each box, (the reason of highlight to bring visual focus/attention to that word), maybe my dyslexia and/or older eyes I guess. Thanks for your time.
  8. Here goes...the mystery of Yamaha's carburetors........ 2007 RSTD XVZ1300CT Looking to repair/rebuild from the body/core up, the carburetor(s) of my RSTD. A victim of crappy CA gas and failure to drain in timely manner. Amazing how much crap gummed up everything. The gas here is the precursor for ingredient for superglue......Yes, I have learned my lesson the hardest way imaginable First, the throttle rod and both end seals are considered "NON SERVICABLE" cannot find ANY info anywhere, not even 3rd market support. Not even in the explodable parts diagrams (Revzilla, Partzilla, Chaparral etc.). Anything outside of "rebuild" kits, translates buy new carbs (est. at $1700 via dealer). Discovered this when 5 out of eight butterfly screws rounded out. Used JIS bits, ground off staked end of screws, and all of precautions etc. Enough of the woes.... What years interchangeable (if at all) are the carbs between RSV vs. RSTD. What are the differences (besides CA EPA), or, what does it take to make one work for the other? Then the BIG question is.....are those parts available for first shop repairs? I thank y'all in advance for your replies.............. .
  9. How do I remove blue highlight box(s) from search results Thanx
  10. Good morning I saw this on ebay considering it myself, don't know exactly what mounting points it will use. Research it for your motor eBay item number:255794213459
