After watching that, almost every one of those can be chalked up to TWO things. ONE= CLEAR rider inexperience. TWO= Driving TOO FAST for conditions (includes weaving in and out of traffic). Bottom line is “You CAN’T FIX STUPID!”

Bob emailed me back and and said that your seat is being shipped today! He said that once it’s jnstalled and he gets some feedback that all is well, he will create the webpage for ordering for the SVTC. -

Ok, I want one! I’ll have to have it re-pholstered to match but I’m willing. How do I get one? I wonder if the can make one heated like the other? -
Good question. I like jumping out of airplanes, so I probably would!

YES! That stuff actually works great. I've used on many applications including some cracks I had on my fiberglass in-ground pool stairs. If you get the can version and not the spray, it works great as a non-slip grip on tools! Just dip the handles of pliers or such in, and let them drip dry.

Well, apparently the response to the SVTC has FAR exceeded Yamaha's wildest expectations. They hadn't dreamed of this kind of response so now they're in a real pickle. I think they had focused on stocking larger dealerships & just a demo or display at the smaller ones. Problem is that they sold like hot cakes and the smaller dealerships are cussing out Yam because of lost sales. Wonder how they're going to deal with the roll out and marketing on the 2019? Wonder what changes they'll make to the bike itself?

I’ve taken the “alarm” to the next level already. I installed an LED light bar on the dash and tied it into the alarm system. When the alarm is “enabled” the light bar does a “Knight Rider” sweep back and forth. When the alarm goes off, the light bar flashes 7 times and stays bright red until the alarm resets and then goes back into sweep mode. Its a nice visual deterrent that makes people not want to touch it!

The only reason they have one is that it’s a “display model”. They can sell it, but Yam says they won’t get another one. If people want one they can order it for them. That seems strange too. I found out that not all dealerships can sell them off the showroom floor. Apparently (stupid IMHO) Yam selected dealerships who can sell showroom floor and others who can display but have to place orders. Are they trying to shoot themselves in the foot with this marketing foolishness or what?

Father God, we come humbly before you in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, and we lift up Dan’s little brother before you. We ask for your divine protection around him as he faces this darkness. Father, you know & see all things including the intent of the heart of these evil men to inflict great bodily harm on Dan’s brother. We ask that you would heal his eyesight. Give the doctors divine guidance and skill in healing his eyesight. We ask Most Gracious Heavenly Father that the truth of this event be made evident to all who are in authority. Let them see clearly and judge righteously that this was a justifiable homicide. Let your mercy & righteous judgement and justice prevail in this case and that Dan’s brother will be cleared of all charges for your glory. And now Father, we ask that your peace which passes all understanding surround all the family members. Strengthen & encourage their hearts as they walk through this ordeal. Let their hearts be at peace in your promise that “You will never leave them nor forsake them.” We humbly ask this In Jesus Holy Name! Amen!

I hear ya Daniel! I was at the dealership yesterday getting some service work done and spent 45 minutes talking to a guy who was sitting in a grey SVTC on the showroom floor. I answered all his questions about functions and stuff & he flat out wants one now. He was there getting a new tire on his bike.

Thats surprising. I’d always heard good things about Kuryakyn quality. This is the first I’ve heard something negative about them. -

Lifting the SVTC

Dont you think the designers were aware of that possibility? They KNEW the bike had no Center stand, they KNEW the oil dip stick was on the side the bike leaned to. If it was possible to get an accurate reading in that position, WHY does the service manual (SAME instructions the dealers use) say the reading MUST be taken in an UPRIGHT LEVEL position? For my part, I will defer that POSSIBLY they know something I don’t and will do it the way it is prescribed. If ANYBODY is doing their OWN maintenance as I AM, I will not risk rejection of the Warrantee coverage because I did not follow strict instructions for something as important as lubricant levels. -
