  1. I put the cotter pin in but may not have got in the hole.
  2. I lost this one on the road. I got a magnet that has came in handy many times
  3. I was a State employee and never was use to having what I needed. So I learned to improvise with what I had to work with. Hopefully the new pin will be here before I leave on Monday.
  4. The past couple days I've been working on the rear brakes. I changed the tires and just not satisfied with the rear brake. Yesterday I thought I had it and took the bike out for a short ride across town. Still not right so today I got some new pads and cleaned the cylinders good before pushing them back in. Then I noticed I had lost the pin and cotter pin. OK this is where I have to improvise another pin since I don't have time to order my trip. I discovered that the "S" shaped hook on the ends of my rubber straps fit the same size so with my vise I was able to straighten it out and with help of a tie strap it can't get out. I have another pin and clip ordered but may not arrive by the time i leave. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do...
  5. Forecast still looking great all week
  6. OK folks does Wednesday, June 17th works for everyone?
  7. Sorry to hear the conflict in plans. Always look forward to seeing you. Maybe next time...
  8. I was thinking maybe Wednesday but Tuesday could work too. Earl you're always welcome to join me
  9. Myrtle Beach Bike Week is coming up May 15th to May 21st. I will be there Monday to Friday. Hopefully another Meet & Eat at Hamburger Joe's in North Myrtle during mid week if anyone is interested. Whatever is the best day for anyone Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday? And after we eat we all usually walk thru the vendor's area and look at everything. Let me know what you all think... The forecast that week!
  10. I just ordered two tires last month and good price and delivered in under 24 hours
  11. Hey Yammer Dan time to load up the truck with some First Gen parts and head to Don's for Maintenance Day. You could get the garage cleaned out some
  12. Congratulations! And don't worry you will find all kind of things to do. I been retired for over three years and hadn't been bored yet.
  13. Yes Dan. I have it in the house for safe keeping. I'll get it to you next time you're up.
  14. I replaced all the clutch disc just a couple years ago but started having some slipping last fall during hard acceleration. I just put Skydoc's heavy duty spring kit in this week. As soon as I get the bike off the lift, I'll be able to test the clutch good. I haven't noticed the clutch being any harder than original. I'm hoping this solves my problem.
  15. The tires are E3's Bias plys. And if the timing is right I just may take you up on the dog, (but I prefer steak) PS: you can see both my Deeres in this pic of the tires
  16. I have always used it on the sides and never had a problem. And I'm a firm believer in giving the sides equal time.
  17. I got new rubber to burn this year.
  18. Got the new tires mounted today and ready to put some miles on them this year
  19. Too funny Cowpuc. Thanks for the video. And by the way I have two John Deere's. A 1983 210 with the 10 hp Kohler and a 2004 L130 with a 23 hp v-twin. Plus a new Husquvarna
