Please do some Prayers Up for my little grandson this Friday..
Air Ready Auto replied to cowpuc's topic in Watering Hole
Been in our thoughts all day. Hoping to hear good news soon. -
So my side stand cracked and didn't completely brake because my leg just happened to be there to stop Lucy from going all the way down. Was wondering about things to check when replacing the stand. What else could be worn or bent? What other parts might need to be replaced? Can the stand be repaired or do I have to replace it? Where is a good place to get a new one? As it is now, just the lower ear (I guess that would be what it is called) is cracked and the top ear is bent.

I don't believe this model year came stock with a cassette player. I did however see hookups for an 8-track on it.

Took her out for a spin today. Two and a half hours of solid circling with the occasional Figure 8. More fun than any one man should ever be allowed to have...

Saw someone riding a shiny new 2018 Venture today in downtown Neenah Wisconsin this morning around 10:40am. Anybody from here?

Don't forget the 30" of raw cutting power! I know you're jealous.

Lost all of my audio

Lost the ground connection? May be time to wire trace. -
P. S. Sorry I'm not the great Storyteller that some of you guys are.

I decided I had to go so I rounded up some friends and headed out. We rode about 40 miles to a little diner where we met up with some others. From there we took off to the first stop of the run. This is about 1/4 of the bikes there. Lucy is centered in the picture. Another shot of the lot. There was a gent there with the new Eluder. He was kind enough to let me check it out. Not going to lie, I want one! The following are pics of things I saw there that I thought were cool... I even got a chance to see @zagger there. (Briefly, he was on his way out as I was on my way in.) My group never made it to the second stop. We found this. From there we found some other roads that took us out by some lake and off into the sunset for a few hours. All in all, it was 310 miles of one awesome day.

Thank you everybody for your replies. As seems to be the way of things, our lawn mower took a trip to the big pasture in the sky so it looks like that will be getting replaced before I get a new bike. I can say though that after having test drove the Vulcan 900 and the C50T I am leaning more towards the C50T. I found it to be more comfortable and my wife enjoyed the ride more than on the 900. It may still be in the cards but we have to play with finances a little bit.

Lucy is in need of some maintenance (carburetor work, gaskets, water pump, second gear repair, radiator fan, neck bearing, plastic replacement...) so this would be a temp replacement then additional bike. I like the look and it seams comfortable enough.

Found a 2008 Suzuki C50T for a hot deal. Took the wife to see it and she gave me the thumbs up. I have no experience with these. It is shaft drive, water cooled, fuel injected V-twin. Was wondering if anybody here has any thoughts on these or could give me any things to look for before dropping the cash.

Thinking of buying a (maybe) non-running 89 Venture with sidecar
Air Ready Auto replied to Pablo's topic in Watering Hole
Who said you have to tell the wife? I had my 83 for 2 months before I let mine know... She couched me for almost a week but it was worth it... Welcome to the forum! Great people here! -
I upgraded the horns on Lucy. Nothing super special. Used a set designed for a 2000 Saturn SL2. (Yes I used a relay.) Massive improvement over what was on there.

Why is there still feet of snow on the ground???

We got a total of about 32" by us from Friday to Sunday. Drifts were much higher. The whether man says 50's for this weekend. Hoping that it all melts off over the next 2 weeks and we will still be able to make it down.

Going out to shovel for the 4th time in two days. I'm usually the last to say it but enough is enough.

Nice touch. Good looking pinstripes.
