  1. Ok we about 2 hours apart, what do you think about putting a post on here to see who is in the area, even N Fl is not that far, to see who would be interested in a M&E
  2. That is just over an hour ride for me up US129 how close do you live to WR or US129, I am at the bottom of it, when you come to US129 and US 82 you are at my house.
  3. Send me an address to Greek Village, so I can check it out. I had a neighbor that was a chef in the Navy, then a professional chef in real life. He traveled the world learning how to cook, he came home from a several month stay in Greece and could make the best Gyros which are pronounced heros. If we want BBQ or something else, we can do it hear, I have some of the best cooks in the area. Also know a southern band that plays a lot of songs, some gospel and are funny as can be. Their name is Lost Dogs Found. I can usually get them to play for free. Two other things we are looking at doing and I will let you know dates when they come available. Working with a Hell Fighter, who cares for the homeless in Albany GA. We are going over there to help feed the homeless one Saturday. Second is we are going to do a bike rally one Sunday here, service, food, then ride. Third in November, the town of Alapaha does a celebration, we are going to organize a fund raiser for the Wounded Warrior Project, we are in the process of organizing a benefit ride for them.
  4. Do they have Gyro's? I need to come and bring my daughters registration up, when I am that way next time I will let you know. She is in school at Wesleyan College
  5. Macon area would be central for GA, and I know they have some good eating there.
  6. Almost sounds like military retirement. They are finding something every year to take from me.
  7. What do you mean the truck windows where iced up. I just do not understand what you are talking about. I go out every morning and my truck windows are never "iced up" a couple times a year they have a then layer of frost on them...... Ok just making fun of you living up North, I use to live in AK and loved it, but man it is a lot easier to live in the south. I have been in shorts for the past three days, not riding of course but just around my house shorts and T-shirts, 75+ degrees
  8. Do we ever do a meet and eat in Middle GA. I think there is enough of us around in GA we could meet somewhere. If we want home cooked food, I have a church that would cook for us. I know for a short time Ken and Barbie I think I could be wrong in their name, is in Jekyll Island. I seen someone else from Alma, and a couple from the Savannah area. Just thinking out loud here
  9. Great weekend for riding here in South GA. It was in the mid 70s sunny. I didn't get to ride as often as I wanted, I got about 170 miles yesterday and 40 miles today. I even road to work today, here is a picture of My Baby at Glory UMC
  10. I will be in Savannah tomorrow on my bike. Savannah this time of year is up and down. Rain, cold, windy, hot, just check the weather. I was in Savannah two weekends ago, got a room right by the River Walk. You can get rooms pretty cheap this time of year
  11. I am still dealing with Bell Palsy stuff, All I know is getting old sucks... And it seems if you do something fun like motorcycle riding, shooting, or hunting, more weird stuff happens to you so you cannot enjoy your hobby. @cowpuc we will be praying for you.
  12. My grandpa had it too, I never knew what it was. As little kids we would see if we could pull it out but we never could.
  13. Actually I am very familiar with the stuff. I was stationed in AK for 8 years and Mt. Home ID for 4 years. I enjoyed the winters when I was there, but now I have been in South GA for 16 years. I enjoy winter down here much better.
  14. Puc what is all that stuff on your face. Looks like a cocaine plant exploded and all the white stuff is around you. We just do not see that stuff down here. LOL
  15. I thought about getting a sidecar for my dog, one that I could strap him in but so he could see out of. I do not like the idea of putting them on a trailer, and mine is to big to ride in a cage somewhere on the bike As for now, my dog has to stay home and pout while I am on my bike
  16. If he is a good certified mechanic and he loves it yes there is. In Ft. Scott KS, is the HD school. My daughter went there and I was going to take the HD motorcycle classes. I know it is far from home but I believe Wiregrass down here in GA has a good school. My thing is find something that you love doing so you never have to work a day in your life. Plus education is a good thing, any quality education is good. So even if he goes to motorcycle college, and ends up working on diesels trucks later in life, or pushing a desk, what he learned there can be applied to other faucets of life. Just my 2 cents worth.
  17. Lets do something, 30 degrees here this morning, my truck is in the shop, the wife has her car, my other daughter needs the other car, and I have a meeting to go to in a town 40 miles away. Guess what I am taking, Yep the bike. I am so glad I finally bought a big leather coat, chaps and good gloves.
