  1. You might look at http://www.rollahome.com if you want to get away from the air mattress type. They're hard trailers and have storage space underneath, so you could store some duffel bags there for going inside. They do run a bit pricey though, base model is $4599.
  2. Well Puc, I'd say one of those 2016 CVO Road Glides would be nice. Maybe in the charcoal and black color. Plus that $10,000 gas card would make it easy to finally get out to the East coast (from Utah) to meet you all in person!
  3. Hey everyone, I'm in the search for information regarding the cowling on a 1300 V-Star Deluxe. I like the new shape Yamaha has gone with, and considering the cowling on my '02 Venture has seen better days I decided to look into replacing it with a new one from a V-Star. I've contacted my local dealer for some schematics and called the corporate office but I haven't gotten too far. What I'm mostly trying to answer is: 1. How similar are the mounting screw positions for the two bikes? 2. Has anyone also looked into this, and received any better information? 3. Is the V-Star 1300 relatively the same as the Royal Star? That's all. Let me know your thoughts!
  4. I believe this is the video Saddle Tramp was referring to:
  5. Haha unfortunately not. That's how I found out they cost $450 from the dealer!
  6. I'm not very shop-oriented, so I was thinking the steering stem might be bent back into place if anyone needed it. I just don't have the equipment to do so, but it costs $450 for a new one [emoji53]
  7. http://www.venturers.org/Tech_Library/index.php?action=article&cat_id=002009&id=285 Here is a list I found that maybe helpful for anyone picking exhausts
  8. Would you guys say road King pipes are loud enough to be heard by a car on the freeway?
  9. I've got some chrome forks and a slightly bent steering stem that have been sitting in my garage for 3 months. I've been told it's time to get rid of them so I'm just checking to see if anyone wants them (just pay shipping) before I put them in the trash. These forks had about 19,000 miles on them before getting bent, for those of you looking to replace springs these would serve you great. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/19/c1e919e3b31377d1e01ca5c9be63a522.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/19/e541bafedca2aa8457a720591d6b259b.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/19/bfbc0c81a1c3fa43551978c472bdc603.jpg
  10. It'd be awesome if we had some sort of video thread where everyone could post a video of their exhaust for comparison. I have this question as well
  11. JB - that's exciting that you have a 3D printer! I'm starting mechanical engineering at the University of Utah next week, so this will be my life for the next four years!
  12. Lost mine on my ride home after buying it! Oh well, I just keep the helmets in the trunk
  13. Will check tomorrow! Thanks!! From my test tonight (after adjusting my throttle cable) I pushed set at 60, and released throttle while holding resume until the bike slows to 45. Is there something stupid I'm doing wrong?? I've never had it working in the year I've owned it, so I don't know 100% how it works
  14. I have tried that as well, still seems to slow. I've let it slow down as much as 10mph before I decide I better keep up with traffic! I am planning on checking the vacuum tubes tomorrow before my ride up to Yellowstone this weekend.
  15. My 2nd gen is having problems engaging as well. The lights on the dash respond but speed will drop as if I just let go of the throttle, no cruise involved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
