    I agree with the previous post, assume they don't see you. Also "clear" the intersection before u get to it, if you clear it when you are at it, it may be to late to stop or use evasive maneuvers. Also don't just clear the intersections with the stop lights and stop signs, clear the little ones too, side streets, alleyways, etc. Keep your eyes moving, always scanning always watching for the person that isn't paying attention. Be safe out there oh ya, wear a helmet!!!

    No one said it had to be a happy clown:) ya the pictures don't do him justice, very creepy, very creepy indead. If you have ever watched the TV show ghost hunters, there was a recent episode that they were here in Utah at the "fear factory". Well that is where u can find creepy clowns:) so what is the next target??? I'm ready.....

    So after a nice long ride today, I get off my bike and realize that the left headlight and turn signal were really loose. From the outside it doesn't look like there is any way to tighten them up. Is there a nut and bolt on the inside to tighten them up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way it is a 99 royal star venture with the three lights across the front, one side is great and the other really loose, if the wind blew on them I would be afraid of it falling off, that kind of loose. Thx

    I was just about to mention the bmw k1200lt. I had a 1999, when I sold it it had over 90,000 miles on it, all I ever did in those miles was change oil, plugs filters and finally replaced clutch at 85k. Oh yeah, and a couple batteries. It was comfy, smooth as silk and powerful, great gas mileage too, always 50+. Handled on rails too. One of these days I will probably own another one along with my rsv. I would definitely look into one, good luck.

    From what it sounds like, the second gen weighs more, but if I recall correctly, I rode my buddies first gen once and it felt a lot heavier then my second gen. Just my opinion also my second gen feels lighter than my goldwing

    I have a 99 vrs, I think it may need new plugs, what is the easiest way to access the plugs? Do I need to remove the gas tank or does anyone have any tricks of the trade on this one?? Also any One have any experience with split fire plugs, a buddy of mine uses them in his harley and loves them, thx guys

    I used to ride a goldwing, love my venture more though, the wing was comfy but it was like riding a Buick with two wheels, I'm not old enough for a Buick yet

    By the way, 84k miles is nothing if it has been maintained. These bikes were made to put some miles on them. They are not harleys no offense to u harley owners, u don't have to buy cat litter by the case either

    My advice to u would be this, remember that this is a heavy bike, if u are not used to riding bigger bikes be very careful. Once u get used to I think u will love it, great bikes, comfy, plenty of power but not light. A buddy of mine bought an 87 and tipped it over twice in the first week of owning it, he wasn't used to a big bike, just be careful. Me on the other hand have owned goldwings, bmw and ventures and never dropped any of them. Knock on wood!!! Good luck

    I have to agree with easy rider, it would not be complete without it I'm also a car buff and I would have a smokey and the bandit poster up there.

    You don't know me don, but I know exactly what u just went through. About two years ago my wife and I gave up on ourselves and each other and got divorced. To make a long story short, It was the worst thing we ever did, we were both absolutely miserable, we made a lot of changes, a lot of humbling ourselves, forgiving ourselves and each other and we started over, got remarried to each other and have not looked back, in the end, we are happier than ever and we will never use that "d" word again. I makes my day when I hear of stories similar to ours, good luck and god bless!!!!!

    Hey guys, I'm a new vrs owner and have seen people talk about maintenance days. That sounds like a great thing to do. Are there members in utah that would be interested in doing something like that. I'm new to this bike and would love to spend some time getting to know it with some help from folks that already do.     Hey guys, the new guy is still learning here, so I have an issue, when I pull my front hand brake the brake light does not illuminate, but when I push the foot brake pedal the light does illuminate. I thought it was the switch(along with some others on this site as well) so I removed the switch of the the hand lever and cleaned all the contacts and still doesn't work, I can hear the clicking sound when I pull the lever, I have checked fuses etc, no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thx guys!!
