  1. sorry to hear that ......... tell her how much you love and thank her for all the care, that will bring peace to both of you hearts
  2. don't know if this is the right way to post a link if not please erase it and accept my apologies I was thinking of something like this that I can take in and out pretty easy [ame=http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008MG5V80/ref=dra_a_rv_ff_fx_it_P2000_1000?tag=dradisplay-20]Amazon.com: Grace Digital ECOXGEAR ECOXBT Rugged and Waterproof Wireless Bluetooth Speaker (Black): MP3 Players & Accessories@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41VDzqoc1QL.@@AMEPARAM@@41VDzqoc1QL[/ame]
  3. Hello everyone hope everything going well and getting ready for this holydays ........ I wanted to see if anybody had use a Bluetooth speaker to play some tunes from a portable fm/mp3 player on our RSTD bikes?? (I know the venture have a tape player or was an 8 track???) , I personally never care for music on a bike but, neither did for a windshield or hard bags and here we are jejej I think we change with age, I don't need any blasting sound just enough to hear over the engine and traffic and was looking at some weather resistant (some even claim to be submergible) that have some type of amplification, Any ideas, experiences ? obviously it could be a very crazy idea and it would not surprise me
  4. wow what a Christmas present! thanks for sharing and the best to you
  5. IMHO I think the 60w oil might do very well for your clutch but........... remember you supposed to lubricate the engine too! I'm just curious to ask to the people in this forum that have more mechanical knowledge what will happen to a modern tech engine using a such a heavy oil at star up ? that reminds me of a 31 ford model A we used to have used 600W gear oil in the differential but not in the engine
  6. I was very happy to participate on the Okeechobee M&E first it was a honor to ride with brakepad leading the way to the lake. met a great group of people it did wonders to my soul and the 240 miles did wonders to my bike................ 1) the handling issue that I had it was due to a faulty air pressure gage solved with 10 bucks bike only had 28 in front and 31 on rear, added proper pressure to the tires (36/40) did pretty much the trick I think there is always room for improvement but I can live with this 2) "The Whining" it is just her sweet way of tell me " hey man rev me up or down shift me".I'm a big mean machine. a full face helmet helps a lot also jeje 3) with the help of seafoam the engine runs and sounds much better, still have the backfiring, just going to ride it like this for awhile until I can check my carbs synchronization and maybe change plugs before I disconnect the AIS . 4) oil leak I think it's coming from the reed valve going to get to it during the week to change a couple gaskets/copper washer bottom line really enjoyed the ride and the "I can get used to this" feeling came back to me
  7. thanks to you all, for the advice and the good words agree with everything you said, my previous bike was a Suzuki boulevard c50 never done anything other than gas and oil chances and I still miss her a little:confused24: but I know this a much better bike when it comes to touring:fingers-crossed-emo, I know with all the info and the good people here she is gonna ride like she is supposed to do:stirthepot:. sometimes I think sometimes I can whine just as much as the bike (hard think to do)
  8. here some pics of my ride, with the new exhaust tips that phoneman1981(Mark) GIVE me I just have no word to thank him...................... I still do not know if I got the right bike she is not running nor handling as expect it but I'm SURE found the right group of people
  9. isn't part of the requirements to become one ????
  10. thanks to this forum read about the gas cap screws getting loose. sure enough one was missing already, probably in the bottom of my tank. went to the hardware store got me two new stainless steel M4 screws with lock washer ............ after this big expense and all the hard work I think I deserve to ride for awhile now
  11. I went through this a couple years ago with my father. He was never sick before but he always told us if something ever happen to him not to keep him alive as a vegetable. I still remember ridding in the tank of his BMW R (very very long time ago) my condolences to you
  12. the country I was born (Uruguay) is on his path to legalize marihuana, and they pointing pretty much the same facts.
  13. I just was able to see your pic I don't a thing about our bikes I'm sure someone with more knowledge (won't be hard to find) will give you a better opinion but, those pipes don't look like the ones I have on my bike (05 RSTD). are you sure they are OEM? or they were replace for some after market ones? on my pipes I believe you can read the Yamaha name on the side keep researching. have a great day and ride on
  14. very sorry for your loss
  15. I'd like one (not that we need any protection on our bikes)
  16. yesterday got 4 M6 screws just to plug the holes until I get new tips, and I think the backfiring it has been reduced (wishful thinking???) although some remain probably was sucking some cold air through those holes during desacelaration. thanks again and looking forward to meet on 12/7 :no-no-no::no-no-no:
  17. Barrycuda: thank you very much for your offer !!!! I'll be there going to try to find all the info about this meeting about exact place time etc .................thanks again and looking forward to meet you:cool10:
  18. and yes I will love to see how to sync the carburetors and later I will buy the tool .........but my last carbureted bike was a 79 CB 750 I had in the early 90's
  19. thank you guys I was just getting the info about AIS so all our bikes have it or just the Californians? when I was going to pick up my bike had had some carburetor issues and had to wait a few days so they took care of it and supposedly clean and sync the carburetors, the bike runs fine to me, it might be on the lean side but then I have never ridden a RSTD before so I don't really know if it is as it's best ............... and also I want to apologized if you don't understand my mumble jumble but living in southern California and south Florida now, didn't get much of a chance to learn English lol
  20. I wish I knew what AIS means
  21. after having my 05 RSTD for about a week I just realized my bike doesn't have the exhaust tips ! I guess I'm kinda of slow:rotf: lol.......does any one have any info on where to get one set could be used, if they come with the screws or what size are they etc etc my bike backfires a little when I decelerated this might take care of that:fingers-crossed-emo if not it might be a little on the lean side. thanks and I really enjoy and learn a lot with this forum
  22. got my 05 black RSTD:cool10: with 12700 miles last Friday afternoon putted about 200 miles over the weekend ..........I was wondering which bike has the most mileage in this forum ??
