  1. The owners manual is at 114 inches that's 9.5 feet. I think to do 9.5 feet you would have to walk her around cause that's at the lock. I have the bags trunk and fairing off right now getting ready to do a new paint job on the Ol girl so she can be ready for spring and the and I hope it helps with the (need) or want of a new bike. I went to good will and got a leather coat for 5.00 cut it into strips about 6 inches wide and wrapped the engine guard and other places that would hit if I dropped it and tried the U- turn and pulled it off in the driveway 12foot. I can make them to the Left with out putting a foot down but I need more to make a U-turn to the right got to work on my right U-turns. My slow ride is 150 foot takes 2.5 min.it's a real workout holding a line and going so slow. I live about a hundred yards from the National Guard building and they have a large parking lot and I go there and set up and I have since found out that DMV brings people there for parallel parking and motorcycle testing is also done there. I have made new friends with the city and state cops. I live in a small town in western Oklahoma and while I was running the course the Guy with DMV giving a parking test saw me and came back after he was done with driver test and we talked a bit he rides.
  2. I got me a copy and I can now make a U-turn in less than 24 foot wide side street, never taking a foot off the boards. I ride a 1st Gen road barge.
  3. Hay Keep the info. coming I've been checking around and found a reg and an extra wide coffin in Dallas TX. there both metal only I'm not sure if there new or used. Any way take lots of Pics as you go so we can see how things go... lost of luck:thumbsup2:
  4. I got my Ride like a PRO V today it is complete in that you don't need to have 1-4. I don't know why I waited so long to order my own copy. I do think its a very good thing that there is the one here on the list that's being passed around. After looking at the copy I got today if there is anyway you can get one for yourself, it will pay you back with the Information in it buy being able to go back and look at from time to time so you can get sharp on the items it teaches. Again Thanks for having the list.
  5. Please take me off the mailing list for the ride like a pro dvd. I couldn't wait any longer and just ordered me copy. So everyone moves up one:smile5: but thanks for making this possible for everyone.
  6. Thanks for the backup on this. The last five years I was a driver trainer the knuckleheads and the ones that have been driving for years as you know they just don't want to take the time to put a gauge to the tire so they bump them thinking that they can tell if the tire is low but that just dosnt work that way. Soo take care hang back a bit and when you can pass get past them as fast as you can. Watch out for gators or what ever you want to call them. Oh and its not just the tires you have to watch out for those chrome lug nut covers that look so nice and all but make the truck go faster there only press on and they come off all the time and when they hit something it breaks or bleeds. One last thing there are lots of blind spots aroound a truck if you cant see the driver in the side mirrors he cant see you. Be safe! Oh I dont mean to make this sound like all truck drivers are bad or dont take the time to do things right. Its like everything the good you dont here about to much but its the few bad ones that screw it up for everyone. I kinda think that the pro drivers that are the real iron butt drivers you run hard take a nap run hard make your delivery reload run some more take a nap and do this till its your day off and start it all over again the average driver runs 160 thousand miles a year as a single driver thats about 438 miles a day for 365 days a year... Thanks for letting me rant a bit. Now lets RIDE
  7. I have driven (logged) 4.5 million miles, a first place in Texas truck rodeo and a 2nd place 3 years later. I had 2 speeding and 1 accident hit a fence cause I didn't want to get out an look to see what was behind me the first year (1973) that I started driving. I think I might have had 3 tires blow in all those years. I am telling you this cause I have been there done that, and 90% of the tires you see come apart on the road are not recaps but brand new tires. These new tires come apart cause the driver didn't check the air in them and there under inflated which makes them super heat and then blow, also the driver in most cases cant make it around a corner with out going over the curb things like this add up to tire failure. When a truck tire blows things break. Can you imagine what that could do to your head with out a helmet.
  8. Hay Would you mind putting me on the list... I think I might get some good out of it.
