I punched the holes in the filler neck. Did it at a gas station but off to the side. Filled up as much as I could. Ride 50'feet away and took out my rubber hammer and my awl. Punched 4 holes in the filler neck as high as I could and ride back to the pump and put in another 4/10 gallon. When I go on reserve and get gas immediately I squeeze in 4.3 gallons. I get 160 to 180 miles to reserve light with two bars showing. That still leaves me 1.6 gallons to walking at about 36 to 38 mpg at gps 75 mph which is indicated 81 on the speedo. Sincere cruise control will only do indicated 80 to 81 mph I cruise at actual 74-74 mph over the ground. Depending on wind direction or none is 33 mpg to max 42 mpg. But over 20,000 miles of mostly freeway in my 2007 Rsv I plan to average 35 mpg for planning fuel stops. And that's all I have to say about that. VentureFar... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just replaced my stock bulb on 07RSV with the PIAA anti vibration super white. Just to start with for any lurkers it took about 10 minutes. - 8 of the ten was fumbling. Turn the bars to the left stick your uncoordinated left hand in and pull off the power connector. Then pull the rubber boot straight off then push the metal retaining clip UP and out of its slot and bulb drops out.reverse the process to install but do not touch the glass of the bulb. The retaining clip slips into a slit and there is just enough spring tension to make it too hard for my left index finger. I remembered I had a foot long bent nose needle nose pliers and popped that sucker back in on the first try. What took the longest was getting the power connector three prongs back in position with one hand. I finally used a long screw driver as a poker/ helper from underneath to help with alignment. Voila. Done. Some time ago I noticed the left right adjustment knob had fallen off so I ordered a new in from Bikerbandit.com i did notice what others have mentioned that the center of the high beam is lower than the center of the low beam. But using a cardboard target I see that the top of the low beam is cut off. Put on the high beam and although the center is a bit lower, the overall beam shoots both above and below its center. I have had other vision X led "passing lamps " but just got the 4" vision x canons. At 80mph dark night I can comfortably see to stop well within the range. I have them mounted using doubled up corner brackets mounted to the mirror stalks. If you want more light than you thought possible buy visionX light canons. I'll post a photo soon. Venture Far...

I looked. It is permalock. I only used one drop on each of two screws. If it eats the baggershield in 2 years verses it flying off the bike in two years it will actually be a financial wash. I will call permalock on Monday and ask about the affectual distance of the harm. Thanks for the head's up. VentureFar...

I didn't use much but uh oh.

Darn iPhone. Windscreen FELL up not full up Coming down the off ramp after my 3500 mile round trip to Sturgis where of course the highlight was @cowpuc I saw light between my baggershield and the top of the dash on my 07. I came to a stop and literally my baggershield had come UP and almost out of the detents and certainly the two screws. I reached up and slide it into place and rode the last 2 miles home at 25mph. This morning I started unscrewing things to get to it and sure enough not only did both through screws disappear but all the screws that cinch the shield at each notch were loose. I replaced the missing 6mm screws but used blue locktite this time. Only 20,000 miles since i installed the baggershield. Love it by the way. I also noticed that the hinge screws on my left bag had come loose and I tightened them about one month ago. Again locktite-this time. Just sharing ... VentureFar...

It was the highlight of my 3500 miles to see you and Tip. The expression " the pleasure is all mine " is overused but in this case the please was all mine.
