  2. Well I haven't been on in a while but here I am now. We are relocating to the south and I can't take the bike with me so here is a deal. I have over $2,000 into my 88 venture royale and just listed it for $1,200 to get the money to move. If any one is interested let me know I'm in Sayre Pa.
  3. Well it's been a while since I've been on here but looking to sell the bike now. Just don't have the time to ride after I spent two months getting it ready to ride this spring. Hope it will make someone else a great ride.I just posted it in the classifieds so check it out.
  4. Well we finally made our first run on the 88 royale was having a beautiful ride dodging the rain for a while. We were just outside of canton Pa on route 154 headed south and come to a sharp corner on the rural route. We arrived just after an older couple say in their 70s didn't make the corner. They were on a older hd with a side car hit the end of a ditch and flew, thank god they were both thrown from the bike and sidecar as it come to a rest upside down. Thankfully my old job I was a first responder and had first aid cpr training for 11 years. They flew the gentleman to danville ceisinger hospital and took the woman by ambulance to williamsport hospital. If anyone hears of a couple from Mansfield Pa that was in a motorcycle wreck please let me know anything my wife and I were there till they were both taken in the ambulance. Would love to hear how they are doing. On a good note we did have a beautiful ride of course the wife beat me on the dice by one stinking point. The bike did pretty good still a little cough and sneeze once in a while but did cover a hundred miles on about 3 gallon of gas so not to bad.
  5. when blowing air use little burst and blow down through the jet also and back through the overflow it worked for mine then did the seaform and techron havent had any more trouble with it sticking
  6. when I did my progressive swap I used the original washer and the uluminum spacer that was on top of the springs got the right heighth and no noise yet
  7. well just got back today from our 3 year anniversary vaca. Every year we try to get away for the weekend and this year was Pittsburgh had a great time. Most people would think it isnt much but when we were married 3 years ago our honeymoon was canceled due to me having surgery for cancer ten days before our wedding. So every year isnt just a celebration for our marriage but also another year of remission just wish the weather was better so we didnt have to cage it for the 5 hour trip.
  8. ok so i missed the site enough i finally got the money and paid my dues. Well my bike is doing good still a little rough at low rpm but more power at over 2500 rpm than i thought there would be. I came out of work the other day bike revved up to about 2500 to 3000 and almost put me in the passenger seat. Hoping to get out and do more than the 5.5 miles to work soon. Working 60 plus hours the past couple weeks havent had much time but do love the ride when the rain stops.
  9. That is the farthest I have gone since I got the bike done still some fine tuning to be done have a bad wobble when I release the bars might even be the tire looks worn from being drove with low pressure was still a nice feeling just to enjoy the fruits of my labor
  10. Well finally got to go for a ride longer than 2 miles.Had to go pick up my daughter about 12 miles so tried it out a little on the way twist the throttle it is still a little sluggish then kicks in and hold on it will go 55 to 80 no problem. I have 40 psi in the rear tire and 30 psi in the rear shock progressive in front with no psi it road nice on the way back with my daughter so next time hope to have my wife on and see how it goes. :cool10:

thnks Steamer hopefully tomorrow it will be nice enough to take it for another ride see what happens I had put about half a can of seafoam in a gallon and a half of gas and run it then let it soak over night now found the breather line that wasn't hooked up sounded a little better

Ok got home from work started looking and found a breather line that goes to frobt of the airbox wasn't hooked up might be better now have to go get some fresh gas tomorrow or tonight. As for how long it sat not sure but it was rough shape when I got it I have polished replaced screws and put in a lot of screws and bolts that were missing so it was neglected wait and see what it does with more fresh gas

Haven't checked much yet did a techron soak and a seafoam soak now the idle is jumping all over was good till then get more gas tonight and see what I can find out I do all my own work but not real good with the carbs
  21. Ok been fighting with the idle and revving of the engine anybody close to sayre pa with a carb tuner that could possibly help me out it would be greatly appreciated :shock3:zip code is 18840
  22. Wow I am in Pa. and just put my bike on the road for reg. plate and notary fees under $120 and my liability ins. for the year is only around $100 I couldn't even afford to ride in Canada
  23. Exactlywhat they said dress nice and be as honest and polite as possible I have been there before and also for divorce court and custody battles whatever you do don't do anything to disrespect the judge
  24. Had trouble with mine I tried the trick with beating on the bowl with a screwdriver and had no luck finally got out my air hose and put the blower nozzle on it and blew through the holes on the carb finally got whatever it was to let loose of the float needle and haven't had any trouble since:fingers-crossed-emo
  25. Well got my plate and registration done took my 88 Royale out for a couple mile ride and the idle was staying up over 3k so adjust it down and go again little better but still high so play with it a little more right now it is about 1 to 1100 k on the tach wait and see what happens. I was really surprised just how well a bike this big is balanced I made a left hand turn and had to wait for a truck creeping along about 1 mph it was real easy to keep it up and make the turn and the power was great up to 60 no problem. Now I can't wait to really take it out on the road.
