  1. Looks clean enough, just make sure you don't get any water in there and fill up each time you fuel. As well as leaving a full tank when it sits.

  2. Any of these will allow you to use any of the common CB antennas on the market using a 3/8" thread. and most are available at just about any major truck stop or amazon. The 1st option simplest and most compact antenna mount, allows you to simply cut the coax install two eyelets. A 1/2" which crimps and solders on the braided wire and fits between the nylon spacer and the mounting bracket to create your ground connection. and a 3/8" eye that crimps and solders on the center wire which sits between the head of the mounting bolt and the nylon space which creates a direct connection the the antenna. See link below. https://www.roadprobrands.com/products/mobile-electronics/accessories/cb-mounts-meters-cables-speakers/antenna-stud-with-lug-connector The 2nd option for an antenna mount is similar to the first except it requires a PL 259 connector (which come in crimp, solder or solder-less ) to be installed on the cut end of your coax. the first link below is the antenna mount the next three are types of PL 259 connectors https://www.roadprobrands.com/search-results/mobile-electronics/accessories/cb-mounts-meters-cables-speakers/cb-antenna-stud-with-so-239-connector Pl-259 connectors: https://www.roadprobrands.com/products/mobile-electronics/accessories/cb-mounts-meters-cables-speakers/pl-259-crimp-on-connector-for-rg-58-cable https://www.roadprobrands.com/products/mobile-electronics/accessories/cb-mounts-meters-cables-speakers/male-pl-259-coax-cable-connector If you wish you can add this 90 degree adapter between the the second option base and antenna cable PL-259 connector https://www.roadprobrands.com/products/mobile-electronics/accessories/cb-mounts-meters-cables-speakers/90-degree-l-pl-259-to-so-239-connector

  3. I have had two Clearviews and can highly recommend them. As well, they are easy to deal with and stand behind their product 100%. One windshield arrived with a very minor fault. I called and they immediately sent me a replacement, then shortly after, followed up contacting me to make sure the replacement was up to snuff, which it was. You will have no regrets with the Clearview.

  5. There are two other things to look at: 1. The carb floats are set wrong. Yea, I know that shouldnt effect mpgs, but it does. Weird. Lean those floats. To much fuel 2. Carb diaphrams are holy! If the diaphrams have even the teeniest holes or are not supple or installed properly will ruin the mixture to the carbs. Suggest you think small things first. Forget plugs, etc., Unless she's not running in all 4. Easy test. Check exhaust temps just after start.

  7. Time to revive an old thread. I spent the last summer working on plastics and they are about 80% ready for paint. I tried hard to find plastics that didn't have any cracks which is near impossible. I went as far as buying 3 different right side saddle bags where the sellers said they were crack free. I even pointed out to them where to look for cracks before I purchased them and they still had cracks. So I gave up on finding any that didn't have cracks and settled for pieces that had minimal cracking. So those will be getting some paint next spring/summer. Now on to what has been done recently. First up is a set of Barnet clutch plates and springs, along with a re-chromed clutch cover. I also installed the rear clutch master cylinder and a new braided stainless steel brake line. I just need to come up with a plug for the front brake line since I am delinking the brakes.

  8. Here is a before picture of the clutch cover plate and the generator cover plate. I sent them out to be stripped and chromed. They turned out really nice, and look great on the black engine.
