  1. They are called that way because they first became popular on the first gens, because they passed everything in sight and it was best to have lots of light on the scoot so those whose were being passed had enough time to notice what had taken place. Later they were used on the 2nd gen and then became known as driving lights, for reasons that should be self explainatory. At least that's what I heard and I got it right from the internets mouth so to speak.

  2. Reiny I am going to look into making one, but from the pictures I have seen, it will require a lathe and I no longer have one available to me. I hate it when my friends retire and I no longer have access to their fancy expensive tools...

  3. Maybe that someone added a heavier spring so the choke would self cancel because they had a tendency to accidentally leave the choke on, only realizing it many miles later. Don't ask....

  4. Don't have or need a kickstand. Just stop the bike, shut it off and jump off. It will lay down by itself.

  5. Every time I go out to my garage and see my bike I wanna scream....this ridiculously cold winter can take a hike! I have a number of projects that I wanna do on the bike but my garage is small, already, overcrowded and very cold....too cold to do what I wanna do and no room until I can put the snowblower away. OK...I've had my rant.....I'll pour myself a little Tequila and relax.....for now.......
