My experience with Avon Venom-X on 01 RSV
I have included a few photos of the Avon tires that I had problems with. The front tire was replaced with no questions asked after an e-mail to Avon including the pictures. The splitting shown in the photos of the rear tire developed in 6 weeks. I know this for sure because when I had the front tire replaced, my dealer went ahead and inspected the rear one as well. (I also looked at it and at the time it looked brand new). That was 6 weeks prior to me taking the rear pictures. Unfortunately, it is difficult to see in the pictures the severity of the problems in each. Avon was very helpful and quick about taking care of replacing my tires. Hopefully I will have the good luck with my new set that everyone else seems to have with theirs.- Album created by LilBeaver

VR TO R1 BRAKE SWAP PART 2!
AFTER ADDING THE R1 BRAKE CALIPERS TO THE FRONT OF MY VR I SCORED A GREAT DEAL ON EBAY FOR A 2001 R6 RIGHT FRONT CALIPER AND A REAR BRAKE LINE FROM A 2003 YAMAHA V-MAX. I ADDED THEM BOTH TO THE REAR OF MY 87' VR. I FOUND THAT THE REAR MASTER CYLINDER WAS NOT ABLE TO HANDLE THE EXTRA BREAKING POWER OF THE NEW CALIPER SO I REBUILT IT. I ALSO ADDED A "SPEED BLEEDER" TO THE NEW CALIPER AND IN 3 MINUTES I HAD THAT REAR BREAKING SYSTEM BLED!- Album created by skydoc_17
