BlueSky Posted yesterday at 05:05 PM #1 Posted yesterday at 05:05 PM Yes, Wednesday I sold my 1998 18' Boston Whaler Ventura. I bought it in 2008. My wife and I enjoyed it very much but we are older and just didn't use it much any more. I sold it to a young couple who plan to have a lot of fun with it. Hopefully, it will serve them well. 1
Freebird Posted 19 hours ago #2 Posted 19 hours ago Those Boston Whalers are nice boats. I’m sure you will miss it. I understand though. I sold my last boat a couple of years ago. Same reason you did. I still have two Yamaha Waverunners and never took them out this year and only once last year. I really should sell them too. 1
BratmanXj Posted 16 hours ago #3 Posted 16 hours ago The family's pontoon boat is 25yrs old and just keeps plugging along... Mom is 77 and decided this year she wanted a new boat. We picked up a '21 Trifecta with 20hrs on it last weekend in an early season snowstorm in Indiana. Hopefully this one serves us as well as the last one. The sellers oldest brother bought it as a "last hurrah" when he was diagnosed with cancer 2yrs ago. The other brothers were happy to see it go to a family that would take care of it and treasure it. They are local to our cottage and we told them they have an open initiation to come take a ride anytime. 2
BlueSky Posted 14 hours ago Author #4 Posted 14 hours ago I'm 81 with heart issues. And mostly, I just didn't use the boat any more. I'm sure I will miss it. It's such a great feeling to be out on the water in my own boat!
RDawson Posted 2 hours ago #5 Posted 2 hours ago I need a 2nd happy day for the pontoon. I use the fishing boat a lot, we live 10 minutes away from KY Lake which is one of the largest man made lakes. 160,000 surface acres 100% free to use. I spend more time cleaning the pontoon than we’ve ever used it.
