No more Hannigan Ventures.

I stopped in at Hannigan’s factory today, one of the office guys told me they dropped the RSV and a few other bikes out of their lineup this year. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the selling of the brand or not.

I guess we shouldn’t be surprised.  I don’t know.   I didn’t know that Hanniganv had sold.

They have sold to Cypress Creek Motorsports. Dave and Ruthann are staying on staff for a three year transition before fully retiring. The Venture was never a huge seller for them but I don’t see very many people willing to invest that much $$ into a bike that’s been out of production since 2013. He did tell me they’re hanging on to the molds. 
The trike market is falling just like the touring market, younger people aren’t buying them. I use the same powder coater as Hannigan, he told me a couple years ago that he gets trailer and side car frames but very few trike frames anymore.

They have a 3rd gen in right now getting a sidecar fitted to it. 

Cypress Creek builds a ground up trike using Chevrolet V8s and automatic transmissions. Called Challenger Trikes.

Don’t know a lot about the Challenger but it looks great.   I’m sure it’s expensive.

I’m sure $$$. I’ll stick to a V4 carb unit I don’t have to make payments on. On that note I bought Motorcycle Mike’s trike a few weeks ago.

I'm glad I found her a good home. Feels like she's still in the family.

No I just had them go over the chassis grease points  and what I need to watch out for in maintenance.
