sleepy2 Posted January 21 #326 Posted January 21 -18cel(1f) here in Ontario Canada and chance for more snow tonight over a foot a few days ago! 1
N3FOL Posted January 21 Author #327 Posted January 21 Winter is truly making its presence felt. I am near the MD/PA line and we are freezing tonight. 14 degrees is way too cold for me. We expect to get a good amount of snow by Sunday. The only consolation I see is that we are getting a little more daylight day after day.
sleepy2 Posted January 27 #328 Posted January 27 Been out snow plowing and blowing the past week with my Craftsman 15.5hp that is a grass cutter! Modified it to mount a Berco 40" snow blower , then electric PTO unit let go and now waiting to get it fixed! My red MTD 12hp tractor(also a grass cutter) that I modified 20 some odd years ago with rear plow is still used when there is less than 3"of snow! Also I use my new to me Sears SS16(16hp twin garden tractor made for plowing and snow blowing) it can push thru snow piles and thru burms that plow trucks push into lane-ways and corners of sidewalks with no trouble! Only thing with the sears is it is fairly slow(I usually do around 10 to 13 lane-ways and sidewalks so average time to do this it takes at least 6hrs or more! Then I also use my 9hp 26" Husqvarna snow blower as backup when it is wet snow or over 6" deep! Waiting for new PTO ordered should be here before weekend) Been looking for accessories equipment for the Sears tractor! 1
N3FOL Posted January 27 Author #329 Posted January 27 (edited) SE Pa will remain cold below freezing over the next two weeks. I am almost done with Winter. Edited January 27 by N3FOL
N3FOL Posted January 29 Author #330 Posted January 29 Good morning to all. Another frigid day here in SE Pa. Not much going on in terms of motorsports et al. I've been back to work since Monday and life in our area is almost back to normal except for a number of school systems that are still out until tomorrow. Some of them are now on Synchronous virtual learning instructions. At any rate, stay safe and have a great day.
N3FOL Posted February 3 Author #331 Posted February 3 Good morning to everyone. No worries. Six more weeks of Winter. Have a great day.
N3FOL Posted February 6 Author #332 Posted February 6 Good morning to all. TGIF. Bracing for a cold weekend. Enjoy your day.

N3FOL Posted Tuesday at 04:18 PM Author #334 Posted Tuesday at 04:18 PM Hope everyone is doing ok. Today, we will be above freezing but not yet time to take out the shorts. Have a great day.
N3FOL Posted Thursday at 01:58 PM Author #335 Posted Thursday at 01:58 PM Good morning to all! Enjoy your Thursday.
sleepy2 Posted 6 hours ago #336 Posted 6 hours ago Well didn't make it out to Friday The 13th on Friday as I would normally do! There was too much snow and ice on the roads around our area so Phantom Wife and I spent some of the day visiting with our Grand Daughter and her mom and dad instead! Turned out to be a great day and will probably try to make the next 2 times which are next month and then November! Also I had repairs to do on my tractors and snow-blower! Had major problem with the one lawn cutter tractor I modified to mount a blower onto as when I was blowing snow something let go and PTO went out of commission! Did get another PTO but is not going on like it should and also noticed that bolt broke off inside shaft so now I have to try and get it out! If I can't get it out I will have to change out motor with a spare motor I have on another tractor I bought years ago! Still looking for a blower for the SearsSS16 tractor I have but everything is in the U.S. Was out yesterday cleaning up the ends of lane-ways and clearing snow down to concrete sidewalks when I shut of tractor to shovel but when I went to start up tractor starter just whined. Towed it back to garage and got it working again!
