While at a cabin we rented in northern GA this past weekend, I was getting our empty cooler out of the truck bed in the dark.

I was parked up on a hill so that the tail gate end of the truck was a bit hight than normal.

I pulled the empty cooler out of the truck bed and placed it on the top of the bed (I have bed covers), and then I began closing the bed lift door.

As I had both hands under the bed door picking it up, the dang cooler flipped backwards and hit me in the (left) eye. Yea, it hurt a little, and yes, I said damn it, then I picked up the cooler and headed to the front door of the cabin. On my way to the front door of the cabin I felt this warm liquid running down the left side of my face.

When I got to the door, I realized that this is blood. Hum…

I opened the door as the blood was dripping off my chin, and my wife Konnie looked at me, she about fell out. She says in a very concerned voice, OMG, HONEY, are you ok?, as she jumps up heading towards me. I said yea, I just need a Band-Aid. She said do you think you need stitches? I said, heck, I don't know yet, I need to look in the mirror. Got to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and sure-nuff, only needed a ban-aid.

Next morning my eye was a bit swollen, and turned a little black and blue. When my wife saw me, I immediately told her never to hit me again and that I would take her out for dinner whenever she asks.....:rotf::happy34:

Sounds like something that would happen to me. Every time I'm working on something outside and then come back into the house, Eileen asks "so, where are you bleeding". I seem to scratch, bruise and bleed much easier than I once did.
