Some Site Stats per Year

Freebird

Recommended Posts

I have been asked a couple of times how the site is doing now as opposed to years past. Supporting membership has stayed fairly steady for about the past three years. We lose a few and gain a few but the number hasn't changed much. As for visits, activity, etc., here are some numbers for you.

All of these are for the last full month of stats, January for the past 5 years. In reverse order.

NICE!! Thanks Don! Now the questions start :big-grin-emoticon:

Wondering what Viewed Traffic and Not Viewed Traffic are - like its any of my business:missingtooth:

THAN (I know, that ol Puc is kind of a nosey old varmint), I also wonder what makes a Unique Visitor unique? Would that be people like Eck, FlyinFool and YammerDan?:stickpoke:

Not viewed traffice is bots, search engines, etc. A Unique visitor is one who has not visited before I THINK. Not sure if that includes members who are not logged in yet or not. Or...it may not be people who have never visited but represents people who have different IP addresses. Do it doesn't count the same person twice as Unique.

Don, I think the weather is the biggest factor in the success of the site. As the weather gets cold and the guys up North park em they still want to be in biker mode so they get on the site and lend a hand or make fun of all the guys in the South who are riding. But when the weather gets too hot in the South and the guys there park em so they don't get heat stroke, they get on the site and give all that wonderful advice to the guys that are now out riding in the North. I think the stats would be interesting, (not that they aren't now) if they showed usage by region, I would bet that that the overlapping months like May and October with the best weather would be a surprise to see if guys are on here getting rides together or are out riding. Makes you go Hmmmmmm.....:scratchchin:

Very interesting. Kind of blows up my theory though. 2015 was fairly harsh weather and there are big numbers as expected. but then 2014 was even colder with all of the Polar Vortexes and it had pretty low numbers. 2013 was really warm with a lot of northerners out riding, yet still had high numbers.

NICE!! Thanks Don! Now the questions start :big-grin-emoticon:
