Guest gregs02 Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Does anyone know the speaker wiring info. for the front and rear speakers, what colors are for positive and negitive wires .
Marcarl Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 When wiring speakers it doesn't really matter as long as you wire them all the same. If memory serves me correct each pair will have 1 black, or 1 of some other colour in common. Hook that to the same side on all the speakers, then you'll be fine.
bongobobny Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Carl is right, but if memory serves me right, the solid black is the negative side...
Pilot Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 See this post for speaker color codes for the second gen. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18162
Carbon_One Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 I just put new speakers in the front fairing on my bike. On both stock and the replacement speakers the + was on the left side. Left and right speakers had different colorred wires for the positive & negative. Left side was white for - , Red w/white tracer for +, Right side was red w/black tracer for + and blue w/ black tracer for -. At any rate both sets of speakers where marked + & - Hope this helped Larry BTW: this is on my 05 Midnight so other years may have different colored wiring
