KIC Posted January 14, 2013 Share #7 Posted January 14, 2013 Hey.. I got one of the slides out of the carbs. One shattered . Still have two left soaking with SeaFoam penetrating oil. The carb that I was able to remove got one little chip on the outer edge this was on the side that faced the air cleaner. Would that have any impact on using it ? I'd inspect it real close for cracks, and if I could not see any I'd probably round the damaged area off a bit with some emery or sandpaper and then re-use it. Frank D. You'd have to look at it in the carb to see if it would affect the vacuum, but those diaphragms look as if they've seen better days. Good luck.. They were stuck and I have been soaking them to get them out. The diaphragms are definitely toast. Just trying to get a couple out for one of the members here.
