While looking through the owners manual I found a little sticker that has the model number, Primary ID, and Dealer number. Is there a data base that I can use to find out who the original dealer was? XV1100SE Posted March 12, 2012 Share #2 Posted March 12, 2012 Go to a Yamaha dealer and ask them to change the name on the registrations (in case of recall) and when they pull up the bike's info by VIN... they can tell you where the bike was originally sold and when. I don't see why he would care if you know where it came from? It's out of warrantee. I thought you just enter the VIN online somewhere to get a service history?
