shikano53 Posted November 27, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 27, 2010 Hi, I'm looking for a new riding jacket. My old leather is pretty much toast and was thinking of one of those high vis yellow jackets I have seen and was wondering what people are wearing? Olympia, Galaxy? Comments welcome. Thank you Chris

Ultra II Air Mesh Kevlar Jacket Hi-Viz, with Black Trim http://www.motoport.com/Ultra%20II%20Air%20Mesh%20Kevlar%20Jacket%20hi-viz,black_New.jpg I see $429 going, but not from me. I just bought me a cheap orange vest with reflective tape on it. The kind construction workers wear. I've never warn it but I've got it in case I ever ride onto a military. installation. ashley9187 Posted November 28, 2010 Share #9 Posted November 28, 2010 Because I do ride on to military base's Army & Air Force I have to wear over the ankle boots or shoes, long sleeve shirt or jacket over short sleeve and the Icon Mil Spec vest with ID holder. http://www.icon.streetcheddar.com/icon-motorcycle.php?sku=28300022SS&title=Icon-Milspec-Mesh-Riding-Vest&category=Jackets&fit=Vest&fitment=Mens Rick
Snaggletooth Posted November 28, 2010 Share #10 Posted November 28, 2010 Check out http://www.newenough.com/street/jackets_and_vests/textile_jackets They have a decent choice of jackets and many come in a selection of colors. Can't beat their prices either. Not to mention great customer service. I just bought a Scorpion Strike from them for $69.00 and it a great jacket for the cold weather. TDunc Posted November 28, 2010 Share #11 Posted November 28, 2010 Fieldsheer Hi-vis yellow www.compacc.com Very breathable, wear leather under it when it is really cold, has waterproof liner (removable) and can adjust to be used just by itself. Blackjack Posted November 28, 2010 Share #12 Posted November 28, 2010 I prefer a high-visibility vest with reflective striping, which I can wear with any jacket. $6-$25, depending on the quality. Even Wally World has them in the Sporting Goods section. Habib the Highly-Visible
aharbi Posted November 28, 2010 Share #13 Posted November 28, 2010 I own four riding jackets. When I go on an extended trips this is the only jacket I wear. The best jacket I've owned. It is a 3 season jacket, waterproof, zipout quilted liner. Three Quarter Length The Tourmaster Epic. http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk100/aharbi/Montana%203%202009/100_0946.jpg
