Squidley Posted May 5, 2010 Share #2 Posted May 5, 2010 The '86 up trunk is bolted directly onto the rack, so the '87 is the same thing. The '85 trunk, although it looks the same attaches differently as I believe it is removable like the other 1200 MKI's. friesman Posted May 5, 2010 Share #3 Posted May 5, 2010 My 85 trunk looks the same as the trunk on the 86 and up but mine is removable. I have heard that the trunks are interchangeable and I think the reflector on the back is the same as well, BUT I am not 100% on that. I beleive what makes mine removable is the one year only chrom rack under the trunk that allows it to slide off and on and lock. Brian Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bill W. Posted May 6, 2010 Share #4 Posted May 6, 2010 The 85 trunk is removable. 86 and up have a better/taller backrest and armrests, with the backrest taller than the trunk lid.
