Oldslow Posted March 6, 2010 #1 Posted March 6, 2010 We ride 2 Up almost exclusively. With a combined weight of about350 lbs with gear, whats a good starting point for that rear shock? Do anyone recommend adding air to the fronts?
frogmaster Posted March 6, 2010 #2 Posted March 6, 2010 Zero front and 40 rear for my Blackcherry RSV 2008 going on 10,000 mile in 1.3 riding seasons so far.
Bummer Posted March 6, 2010 #3 Posted March 6, 2010 I like to have five pounds in the front. It keeps the forks from bottoming on hard stops.
Sylvester Posted March 7, 2010 #4 Posted March 7, 2010 I run 7psi front and 35psi rear and ride mountain roads a lot. I need the stiff rides for this. Experiment and you will find your sweet spot.
edger Posted March 7, 2010 #5 Posted March 7, 2010 I run 0 in the front and just enough in the back to keep us from bottoming out. Thats usually around 20lbs. If I feel us bottom out at any point I will add a couple lbs at the next stop. Your spot will vary but at our weight usually 20 lbs takes care of it.
