  10. Goor morning to all once again. It is snowing here. 29°F. No riding and got called in to work this afternoon. Have a great day.
  11. It couldn’t be this simple!! Positive battery wire was loose… really?? She fired right up! But….. tach is out. I did check #2 and it does have spark. Bike is back up and running though, will keep assessing on the tach.
  12. Spray some starter fluid into the air cleaner intake and see if it starts. If so, its a fuel problem.
  13. Bike was running great and now. …. Urgh puff of smoke / loud pop coming from single carb . Bike does not run. All electrics work . I have spark on all 4. If my Cdi was bad , I wouldn’t have spark, correct? any help is appreciated.
  14. Hmmm. I can't believe nobody lives near you. Hopefully someone will chime in.
  15. Good morning. Happy Thursday. Looks like I'll be drinking more whole milk than 2%. Thank God I am also a meat eater. We are back to winter temps once again. Windchill is at 10 degrees. No ride for me for a few days then I'll see. Have a great day!
  16. I am way too scared to ride the bike on F the 13th. Not at all ashamed to admit that.
  17. @N3FOL I will!!
  18. That would be great.Thanks
  19. I just used the fuel line segment that came from the petcock and looped it back into the fuel inlet at the back of the carbs. Removed the rest of the fuel line and the pump. When I get a chance, I'll take and post pictures.
  20. I got in 80-90 miles today.
  21. I've heard a bit about this before. Did u just remove the pump and join the inlet and outlet hoses together or reroute the supply line directly to the carbs?
  22. Same here...not much riding this winter season not like the previous winters we had. I don't think there is much chance for me to ride for the next 3 days, but Saturday is a tad promising. If mother nature cooperates, I am simply just going for a quick spin on both bikes. Nothing more. As for Friday the 13th, I am a very superstitious person. Always ride with caution.
  23. Haven't been out this winter like I normally have! Mostly because mother nature can't make up her mind ! Either too cold, rain, snow or too windy! Also Phantom Wife! Hopefully will be able to ride to Friday The 13th in Port Dover Ontario(around an hour ride) There are 3 Friday The 13th this year!
  24. Down here one day I am riding in a t-shirt, next day I am out all bundled up! But ride I do.
  25. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/forums/topic/58615-what-did-you-do-to-your-venture-today/page/58/#findComment-819668 Check this out. I've driven just over 1100 miles since removing the fuel pump from my 2001 RSV. No issues.
  26. Earlier
  27. Thanks for the info. I"ll have a look at the points before riding season.. Cheers
  28. I inspect the points when I do my Spring service. If they’re showing wear I replace them.
  29. Yes, you need to solder one connection. Watch this video.
