Miamick Posted February 6, 2022 Share #1 Posted February 6, 2022 Anyone have any experience with Barnett clutches, plates and springs?
Marcarl Posted February 6, 2022 Share #2 Posted February 6, 2022 Lots of us use them and very few if any adverse comments.
saddlebum Posted February 7, 2022 Share #3 Posted February 7, 2022 I put a barnett in so long ago I cannot even remember how far back it was but Its still working great and I love how it works. I put in the carbon fiber pack and would definitely use it again if ever I had to replace another clutch. The carbon fiber is real good for slip clutching when your in a situation were you want to keep going at an extremely slow pace without stalling the bike like in stop and go traffic.
Richie C Posted July 29, 2022 Share #4 Posted July 29, 2022 Yes, I installed the full Barnett Kit 2 years ago. Love it. The purple Plate/springs and the friction kit had to be ordered separately, and the gasket was separate as well. Great YouTube DIY video out there. It's as simple as it gets. ascaife01 Posted July 30, 2022 Share #5 Posted July 30, 2022 I placed the Barnett kit on my 2007 RSV when the original started slipping at 53,000. It was easy to do (especially with instructions and videos on YouTube) and it works exactly like it is supposed to. It was also very "Pretty", even though once it is closed up, you will never see it again.

Barnacle442 Posted July 24, 2023 Share #9 Posted July 24, 2023 I use Barnett clutch plates in both of my Royal Stars and have the clutch spring replacement in one of them, soon to be both. Never had a problem.
saddlebum Posted July 26, 2023 Share #10 Posted July 26, 2023 I replaced my complete clutch with the complete Barnett carbon fiber clutch and disc set about 60,000 km ago and despite a lot of slip clutching in heavy traffic conditions it is as good today as when I put it in.
