Harbor freight tire balancer

Has anyone tried this balancer?

I was looking at mounting and balancing my own tires this winter and am trying to see if its worth doing it myself or having the dealer do it. I'm also looking at these tire tools.

Yep, been working for me for many years.

I used to just use my auto jack stands and insert the axle into the wheel, and put it on the jack stands so I could spin it to balance my tires. That worked great, until I installed new wheel bearings into my front wheel. Then there was too much stiction so the wheel didn't stop with the heavy spot on the bottom. I installed a new front tire and couldn't get it balanced. I purchased the Harbor Freight balancer and it worked great. My vibration is gone.

Why not use Dyna Beads instead? I have used them for fifteen years on my 02 RSMV without a problem.

I have one of the Harbor Freight stands but have never taken it out of the box. I use Counterac beads (like them better than the Dyna beads)
