Was wondering how many venture riders will be going to the race this year. I am leaving Friday May 22nd from the Houston area. I have season tickets and go almost every year, this year will be the first for riding the 05 RSV. If anyone is riding to the track, would like to join up for the ride. Will be staying with my sister in Indy on the northeast side.

So, I picked up a REALLY cool new toy, a GPS transmitter, for a few reasons. One- to enable folks on this forum to follow, in almost real time, my bike travels. Two- for my wife to have comfort knowing where I am, esp. when out of cell range, on my long trips. -Mtn. biking alone in the trails, this can send an alert of my location, should I whack a rock or something. So, I have a GPS transmitter I've been playing with for a week or so. Click here to see my recent travels: http://share.findmespot.com/shared/faces/viewspots.jsp?glId=07AVc4aiQsNh8cYYCBy7sbYRAizTEtyEW You will see a map on the right, with a bunch of foot prints with numbers. Those are my "tracks". Every 10 mins. the GPS "Spot" transmit my location. On the left is a list of the spots it transmitted from. Hover the mouse over one of the tracks and the correlating footprint on the map will, for lack of better term, radiate waves. Go to the satellite or hybrid view and you can see what activity I was doing this past Tuesday. Anyways, I have a trip starting on Sept. 6th, early am. Wanted to post this here now to make sure it's working as intended prior to leaving. I will put the spotter in track mode starting at, uggh, 4am on the 6th. Then, if you're really bored, you can visit this site and see where I'm at. I'll also try to post a couple messages to the board during the trip via Blackberry. What can I say, I'm a geek at heart.

Has anyone ever seen or used one of these trailers? http://www.discount-trailers.com/motorcycle_trailer.htm I've been thinking about either building or buying a 5x10 trailer. I saw this and it interests me because it would fit through my basement door (60" width) for storage. My concerns with the design are the relatively narrow track which may be mitigated by the low center of gravity. Also, I don't know how sturdy the trailer would be without a full frame. Would the diamond plate flex? Just curious. DT

They work sometimes. Sometimes they don't. On the ride to Sturgis, they worked all the way there and all the way back until the last 50 miles. Yesterday they worked on the way to the club then didn't work on the way back. Hazard flashers work. When the turn signals don't work, none of the turn signal lights come on. I hate intermittent electrical problems. They are a b**** to track down. Anybody ever run into this before? Any ideas? I've practically taken the bike apart and put it back together again looking for a solution. Thanks.
