I got my HF trailer repainted and assembled and the box mounted on top. It works great and follows unloaded along at 80 mph. I am now looking at adding other conveniences like a bicycle kickstand and a cooler on the tongue. My wife and I plan to take a trip west across the state in two weeks to see our son run in cross country in two weeks. Questions: I bought a kickstand from Walmart but it doesn't seem to have the right angle for mounting on the tongue. Anybody have pictures of how they mounted a bicycle kickstand on their HF trailer? What is the easiest way to mount a cooler on the tongue and what cooler is recommended? I know that it must have a positive latch (don't want my ham sandwiches flying down the interstate). Any other recommendations? Iowa Guy

Okay. I can retire next year with 30 years at my job and I'd love to move from my area. (Northern Va.) The traffic alone is killing me as well as the summer heat/humidity and cost of living. We plan on staying along the east coast but I prefer to be i the mountains or very close to them. My goal has been to move to New Hampshire but I can see the wife getting a little worried now about this move. We have one married daughter who is married to a Marine and I already know she doesn't want to move back to this area when he's done. My son is in college and he really hs no need to come back here if we're not here. We need to be somewhere close to doctors and a hospital and fairly close to an airport. I'm looking for someplace that's a little cooler, on average, then what we see in Va. I hear there are places in the Mt's in NC, VA, Tenn where people claim the temps are always 15 degrees cooler in the summer time. Any suggestions?

Hi Guys! I just got my new cooler rack from Al's Motorcycle Accesories (Wow he does nice work!) Now, with the cooler sitting in the rack it (of course) blocks my turn signal lights. So, I would like to hook-up a couple of LED turn-signals to the back of the rack. My Diamond-R LED brakelight which is mounted under the trunk, takes care my brakelight issues, so now I just need some LED, turn signal lights which look complementary to everything else back there. Hopefully, I can find ones which can be mounted flush against the mesh along the backside of my cooler rack. Power for the cooler rack lights will come from my trailer hitch power plug. Please, let me know if you have any suggestions. I don't want to spend too much on them, but I do want them to look like they were meant to be there. I will attach a couple of pics so that you can get a better idea of what I'm working with. Thanks in advance & Be Safe! Pete.

Hey Guys! Spring is here and it's time to put the finishing touches on my new trailer set-up. The next step is to install a nice cooler rack. I found one which looks like a good at: http://www.alsmotorcycleaccessories.com/new_cooler_rack.html So far, this looks like the best deal. However, it's always a good idea to check lots of options and see what other people recommend. I had one idea that I don't know exactly how practical it is, but I think that it's do-able. I would like to figure out a way to be able to set-up the cooler rack so that I can use it with my trailer, or remove it and use it solo as just a hitch attachment. If this can't be done, then I would just like to get one to install on the trailer arm. Then, maybe I'll get another one to use solo. So, what do you suggest? What do you like? I don't want to spend crazy money on this, but I want to be satisfied. Are there any special considerations I should be aware of, or is it just a simple matter of attaching it and that's it? As requested by Road Kill, We (Diamond R Accessories) did carry a cooler rack. It was called Saddlemate by Cheyenne Trailers, I have one on my bike. We no longer carry those because they are no longer built, manufacturing cost and those sort of things made it to costly to make and sell. they are a great item I never take mine off. For those of you who did purchase one, hang on to it. enjoy the ride Allen & Patti

I was in a local indy shop today and he has a 2006 Bushtec trailer for sale. Less than a 100 miles pulled. He is asking $3000. for it and if anyone is intrested I can give you his phone number. It is white-has the front bra-and covered cooler mounted on it. Looks good. I have no intrest other then letting ya'll know of a good deal.

Not sure I'm in the right forum for this since I'm new to Venturerider.org I just moved up from a V-Star 1100 Classic to a Venture and am in dire need of more (cooler) air in the riders seat. Any suggestions on windshield replacements, removing lowers in summer etc. will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chief2756
