  1. Me too!!
  2. Look at it another way, would you still ride a certain model of motorcycle when it is impossible to get replacement parts of any type?
  3. Here are my two cents on this topic. If the computers will be isolated and never hit the Internet, you might get away with continuing using XP. Don't rely on a firewall to protect a computer when a human is controlling it. If you plan on updating/upgrading anything (hardware or software), you will likely have trouble if you continue using XP. Here is an article that explains the most common items to think about. http://www.specopssoft.com/resources/news/running-xp-without-support-what-happens Good luck!
  4. Looking for some Barons +2 throttle cables for my 2003 RSV. I found some online for a 2005. After doing some research, the Yamaha part number on the bottom cable is different in 2005. Here are the part numbers I found: 2003 4XY-26311-10-00 4XY-26312-00-00 2005 4XY-26311-10-00 4XY-26312-10-00 Are the 2005 cables usable on my 2003?
  5. I have a '85 FZ750, Canadian model, that is leaking terribly from the front forks. I'm weighing the difference of rebuilding the forks versus replacing with forks from another (newer?) model. The reason for considering something different is the availability of parts, better brakes, etc. Recommendations?
  6. According to this article, more deaths each year are related to sex than to motorcycles? http://rideapart.com/2013/12/things-more-dangerous-than-riding-a-motorcycle/
  7. How about a Harley water cooled 500 and 750 made in India? Lots of interesting stuff! http://rideapart.com/tagged/2013-eicma/
  8. Don't think it's for me but interesting to see what other makes are coming out with. http://rideapart.com/2013/10/2014-honda-ctx1300-cruiser-spied-world-exclusive/
  9. Thanks, it was exactly as you described. Pulled off much easier than I thought. The original rubber tank bib was held in place with the same double sided tape. Did you or anyone else use double sided tape on the new bib? I have it in place and the fit isn't real tight.
  10. Just purchased the factory accessory two pocket tank bib and when starting to install it I quickly saw that the two intercom wire clips that are glued to the tank are in the way. Without just ripping them off, what is the recommended method to remove them and not damage anything? Once removed, what is the best way to clean them and reattach in another location? Thanks!
  11. That's great! Tell Karen congrats from Olivia and me!!
  12. Anyone have experience with this lift table? It looks like a sweet deal. http://www.harborfreight.com/1000-lb-capacity-motorcycle-lift-68892-8495.html
  13. Attached is a picture of the RSV hitch I won during an auction at the 2013 International Rally. It was a steal even after powder coating for another $40. :cool10: Now I just need to install it...
  14. Mine also does it with the CB.
  15. I wasn't trying to separate out those from Canada with my comment but couldn't think of anything else to say. Everyone at the IR was great and we look forward to many more Venturerider.org events.
  16. This guy seems to be as nice as the many Canadian's we met at the International Rally! http://jalopnik.com/canadian-motorcyclist-proves-that-two-wheels-can-actual-1100288170
  17. It's riders like this that give motorcyclists a bad name. :no-no-no: http://jalopnik.com/watch-two-trucks-make-a-motorcycle-sandwich-1031844354
  18. We'd love to attend but need to attend a party for my parents that weekend.
  19. Many thanks to the committee for all the hard work. The rides were well planned and the pace was perfect. It was our first rally and we didn't know anyone. We made many new friends and had a great time. Can't wait to attend another event!
  20. i bought a trunk rack from the dealer trailer at the IR and am wondering if anyone attending the IR has installed one before and if anyone attending has a drill and bits? It would make things much easier for the trip home. I know 93venture wants to drill holes as long as its someone elses ride!
  21. I don't have a rack on the trunk of my RSV. Any problems strapping a duffle bag on top of the trunk with bungee cords? I'm confident the bag won't slip off but wondering if I should be concerned about cracking the top of the trunk.
  22. I bought mine locally after trying on several models. I only found out later about the sore forehead and have put up with it for the past couple of years. I spent the day trying on helmets at the show this Feb and only found one model to really fit but it's a full face and I don't want a full face. :'(
  23. I have that helmet and like everything about it except that it is too round and hurts my forehead after a half hour or so. Vents work well and I like the internal sun shield.
  24. Not only do I need to use the choke, it seems I need to give it slight throttle when trying to start it cold. I ran a bottle of tectron through it and it seems to run well otherwise. I ride a 2003 RSV. Thoughts?
  25. How about purchasing a couple reusable k cups before heading home? [ame=http://compare.ebay.com/like/290820791348?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar]2 pack Keurig My K Cup Replacement Reusable Coffee Macker Filter for B30 B40 B50 on eBay![/ame] Day to day costs are much lower using these when compared to the cost of k cups.
