  1. I have cobras on mines. Beautiful deep rumble. Pulse since I made it into a trike the pipes are longer. It sounds like a 57 chev with glass packs. Everyone I talk to loves the sound.
  2. Dion I see you were in the USAF. Were you ever in Japan in the 60's 67-69? I was stationed in Atisugi. NAS. there. At the airport service counter and weight and balance tech.
  3. I already have the front end off the trike so thats know problem right now. Having the forks chromed and the sleeves polished. Had the front front chrome. Chrome pros. did a great job on that. It doesnt look weird having the tubes stick out ? Is there any chance that the fender will hit the running lights or does it bottom out before hitting any of that stuff? Just wondering. Like you say, its no fun having to take it apart again to change it back.
  4. How do you lower the front forks? Do you loosen the bolts on the tree and let the forks come up out of the top tree about 1/2" or so?
  5. I needed a little help to get up and over the seat. So I added two footpegs to the venture for easier mount and dismount. 1" stainlesssteel rod, 2 solid metal handle grips, 2 u-bolts, 2 rubber bumpers. I got those from the tank and passenger din plug mounts and some set screws and wala! Its nice when you can stand up and stretch your legs while stopped or moving if you don't have runing boards.
  6. I'd like to edit it and put in the new one, BUT! I don't know how to do either one. was trying some stuff but didn't work . Help!
  7. I just want everyone to know I'm sorry. I'm the one that sent the wrong link on the ebay lock. It changed from when I bought it and didn't know like cougar found out that you could get the one I have. He did the digging and found the right one from the vendor. I really want to thank him for that. I hope my mistake has not caused anyone to much trouble or money. Again thanks to cougar for getting the changes and I hope who ever buys it, likes it like I do. Again any questions on it give me a call. 1-507-412-1425. Just one coment on the hole size. Try to file the hole so it follows the cam shape, it will keep it from ever spinning in the hole and notch the blade to match the old blade with a small file or hacksaw. I hope the pictures I sent help. Again my mistake on the link, sorry.
  8. Oh and yeah those locks work good on my cycle mate trailer to. so not using the key all the time on that also.
  9. Yes, Jeff that is the one I used. Like I said you just notch the flat blade to match the old blade. Find a thick pc of rubber so when you turn the lock you put pressure down on the rubber seal. which seals for leaks and the blade goes under the rubber boot. takes any slop out of the trunk lid. just play with the size of the rubber boot to get the right tension you want .
  10. I hope these pictures help. I see that cougar has done something different. If you have the bent one don't straighten it out the dimenions should be the same as the old lock in length. I bought the straight and just notched it and put a rubber boot on the stem in the trunk to take up the slop. make sure you notch the blade the same as the old one. does this make sense at all?
  11. Go to triketalk. Forum. And look under search trunk lock. I think the pic are under jhennan .works great and. Looks great.
  12. I used the ebay t handle and love it. I had to file the hole a little. From .875 to 1.00. Which isn't much. Its so nice and easy to open an close. On the stem hanging down on the main body. Of the trunk i put a little around solid rubber boot. With a slit in it so when i put a little pressure down as lm closing it gives a tight. Fit. Use a file to notch. The blade. Took about a hour to do it all. I used to work in office furniture r an d and i used to have to try out all kinds of locks to fit our different cabinets. I also looked the saddle bag locks an new that wasn't. Going to work. I have pics of the whole lock setup with rubber boot. No leaks now
  13. I have a set of those plates on mine. But I just took them off the other day and had the front rim chromed. If your interested they are for sell. In 1997 book they sold for $400 a set. I would like to get $150 for them. call 1-507-412-1425 I think they are in really good shape yet.
  14. Thanks for the idea it worked out great. I'm able to keep my gps and cellphone in there at the same time. Thanks for pointing out the door problem also, it was a little tricky, but took my time and it worked. No glue.
  15. Thanks for the idea on the cassette player. It worked out great and I did take care not to break the door thanks to you. It was a little tricky, but I saw where you were coming from on being careful on the door. I'm able to keep my gps and cellphone in there at the same time. Thanks again for the idea
