  1. Thank you ALL for your prayers and kind words!!! I';m sure everything will be all right and I'll be back to normal (Whaterer THAT is!) in no time!

Sure will be nice to be able to pee like a teenager again...

  2. Praise God he is OK, Monty!!! Sorry to hear about this and his other issues in life. Sometimes life downright sucks!! Wish I could help out somehow, but at least I can pray for him and encourage him to spend a little one on one time in prayer with Jesus...

Hope everything turns out in the long run!

  3. Yup, nothing but speculation and dreams right now. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a new model Venture yet.

Truth is, go out and find a bike you wil be happy with for many years because unless you are independantly wealthy you are going to be paying for it a long time!! Myself I'm paying the next 4 years. Hopefully I will be able to ride it again soon. Now, let the customizing begin...

  4. Nothing serious, just the old enlarged prostrate problem. This is a very common problem among us "well experienced" gentlemen. They are going to do the old Star Wars light sabre thing on me, although they insist it's called green laser surgery! I will be back home Tuesday if all goes well. Then I get to enjoy the rest of the month off with pay. Now, if I just had a scoot that I could ride...

  5. OK a starter motor DOES put a heck of a load on the battery but I'm not sure it puts that much. Does it crank over at regular speed or does it seem slow?? Sounds to me like it may be new battery time...

Of course you could have a dirty ground on the battery cable, or a bad solenoid, or corroded + contact somewhere. One big culprit is those yucky fuse connectors. Read directly across the battery and get back to us!

  6. The Boost Sensor is in Fact a Vacuum Sensor. It senses the Vacuum on the #2 Cylinder just like the Thing on the Vmax. The Sensor emits a Voltage which is used from the TCI/CDI to advance the Spark.

Yah!! It is a fancy name for a regular MAP sensor, or Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor to set the spark advance wqhere it is needed to be. It gives a control voltage proportional to the amount of vacuum to let the TCI know how much or little to advance the spark...

  7. What really makes a difference is if you use the intercom. If not, then just find a nice aftermarket stereo, PREFERRABLY a waterproof Marine one, and fabricate a mounting plate. After you get rid of the stock radio there is plenty of room. You will also loose your CB though doing it that way unless you have an AUX conector, and then you can only listen to the CB or a CD, or the radio...

Yes it has been done many times.
