The ignition module I got isn't the right one so I'm not sure if I have other problems or not! It isn't running as smooth as it should but it could be a fouled plug or something. The problem may be a different response curve for the timing as well due to the diferent modsule. I stripped the module out of the '85 and found out it is also the different module, the same as the one I acquired. The good (?) news is that the module from the '85 is bad, and that's why it wouldn't start many years ago, so I can use my newly acquired one on that one!
Sooo, the module I need is a TID14-28 41R10. The one I have is a 41R11 TID14-34. It seems to me there was a member rebuilding these modules. Anybody remember who?? I have a couple needing fixin' but I supose I could take them apart and replace the glass diodes myself.
Anybody out there have the module I need for sale for a reasonbable price?? The last one I saw had a buy it now price of $99 and was around for several weeks before someone finally bought it. I have bought them of ebay as cheap as $45 but that was a couple of years ago...

When I read the title I thought maybe you farted and had a little more than air come out...
Make sure you still have a little free play in the brake pedal, else wise the rear brake will not completely release and cause drag. You may also end up rebuilding the rear caliper as the piston may be a little gummed up.

The '83s had two flaws, bad frame at the rear shock, and a 2nd gear problem. Part of me wants to say keep looking for an '84 or even better an '86 up. It could turn out to be a good bike, though. Ask if 2nd gear was ever fixed, and if the frame was reinforced...

So THAT'S what they look like without any clothes...

I would probably make even bigger mistakes...

I guess I'm about to find out as I just ordeered them along with some other stuff from DR...

Keep watching! I picked up a pair of MK2's a while back for around $30 in not to bad shape. As I mentioned before they will work on a MK1 but you have to fabricate some hangers for the mufflers. I'll be glad to give you full instructions if that is the route you decide to go..

Hmmm, time to rebuild the hydraulics, eh??

I personaly like the bike to have some sort of lean when I leave it as opposed to being upright just in case a big wind comes along or something and causes the bike to bo over the other way. Yes, I have seen it happen but with a lot lighter bike...

If it works you have to read the review. Suffice to say. I will be back there.
We once stoped at the Tin Lizzie outside Bradford and it was a fun place, but nothing spectacular. The food was prety good though. Bradford is about an hour away for us, and we have been thru several times, so I'm gonna go check out your review right now...

wanted>2,000. would take
Uhhhh, $1850????? Get real...

To answer your question about fitting, it should...

I'm interested in upper and lower fairings, and possibly the trunk.
Have you considered the possibility that what you are asking for the bike is too high?? I don't know the particulars such as mileage, condition, and asking price...

...and don't forget to hit the "save changes" button. Make sure the "don't use avitar" is unchecked. Select the "Use custom avitor" button.

Glad to hear things are going good and you are recovering well!! Hope to see you at the Hub!!

Yah, Ben, that's what I'm hoping for!! Today seems a little better and I'm sure I'll be ready to venture out in public in the next day or two without any fear of embarresing myself!!
Waiting for the flood of puns from that last sentence...

Yup! Got it and replied!!

Use furniture polish such as Pledge on your windshield and it will act the same as rainex. I would rather ride a bike with a fairing in the rain than one without one myself, but rain gear is also a good thing to have...

OK I'm home!!! They did a spinal on me, that was wierd feeling paralized from ther waist down. Surgery went off without any complications. Right now I am in a bit of discomfort and is painful urinating, which I have the urge to do every half hour it seems. Also, am very sleepy all day. I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day.
Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!!

Transmission fluid in the gas?! That is completely new to me. I have never heard of that. Will that really work?
Ahhhh!! Sounds like someone found out what Marvel Mystery Oil really is!! It serves as a decarbonizing agent on the valves and combustiuon area. It DOES work, sort of, but then again so does droplets of water which literally blasts off carbon deposits when added to the intake in the right ratio. That one is very hard to do and hardly ever used...

Yah!! A thorough Seafoam job WILL gunk up a set of plugs if there is a lot of built up gunk in your fuel system!! While you are at it replace the wires and the screw in caps at the coil end as well! Chances are you still have ytour original wires...

You could find a pair of the chrome solid inserts and install them in the warmer weather...
But then again they go for a good buck on fleabay as well. I do have a pair in fair condition I may decide to part with.

A Stebel horn WILL take care of em...It will almost give them a heart attack...
Two of 'em are even better...

If you ever do a trip around Lake Erie let me know, I would love to see the bike in person!!

Uhhhh, Dan, Becky told me the same thing and it took me all of 1.5 seconds to agree with her! Looked the next day, and bought the day after that. Was driving the new scoot the day after that!
Got to keep Goldie, though, but the project bike has to go...
