  1. I lost my middle toe to infection last year so I know what you will be going thru! I was able to sort of limited walk around after a week or so, and was pretty much healed up after two months. Just follow Doctor's orders and enjoy a month or two of doing nothing but relaxing!! I'll be glad to pray for you! Keep us informed.

  2. OK nowdays just about every laptop haqs built in wireless adapter, but you still need to have a wireless router for home wireless use. They can be has for $50 or so, or less depending on how big an area you have to cover. I have been very happy with my Toshiba but there are a lot to chose from. Consumer Reports gave the Gateway M-152S a "Best Buy" award and lists for $650. Apple is overpriced IMHO. Watch for sales, and don't waste your money on "Extended" warranties...

  3. Well, luckily we have a grocery store within minutes from here!!!

They just left and I hope they don't get lost in the back woods around here. Guys, it was a real treat to have you here and hope to see you again son!

Big Tom, we are ready to go riding now...

  4. Glad you're back in business Bob! Where'd you end up mounting the pegs? I know you had some interesting thoughts about that when we discussed it last. Need some pics too!

Ended buying the Diamond R ones, one bolt installation. Actually bought a lot of Diamond R to the tune of $1000 with 6 months interest free to pay it of...

    Pictures will be coming!

  5. Let the McGuiver'ing begin!!! spent the whole evening attempting to mount the arm rests and finally have a way to do it that I'm satisfied with. Passenger highway pegs were a 10 minute job. Have the grille on but it rattles agaqinst the radiator at certain RPM's. Need to do backrest and trunk rack tomorrow along with the air horn, followed by lights, etc...

  6. Yah! The more microfarads the better, and a working voltage of 50 volts should do fine. They DO have polarity, so the + goes to +, and the - goes to ground. Yes, "dirty" grounds can indsuce noise and even cause what is known as feedback loops between 2 different ground points which cause random spurtaneous noise.

35 years as a component level electronics techincian also comes in handy...

  7. If you had an old fashioned analog meter, or a dwell meter, you may be able to see if there is output from the pickup coil. An oscilloscope will also accomplish this. A digital voltmeter just doesn't have fast enough response time to see it. You can check for continuity though. If it has normal DC resistance reading, then it is probably OK as long as it hasn't lost ground on the one side.

Sounds more and more like a bad TCI. Make sure you have 12 volts coming into the ignition control unit...
