  1. I'll try droppoing off one cylinder at a time. It's just idling rough, maybe the circuit you mentioned. The Carbtune is set up correctly, albeit I get wild ranges of readings because the idle is really rough. If you speed up the engine, things smooth out and the CarbTune "needles" settle down and then adj can be made. Thanks for the help.
  2. Removed CarbTune, idles about 1100, slower will stall. That was an improvement. At least not near 1500. However, if revved, will stall. Could it be a timing issue? I put new K&N air filters, but I don't think it's that.
  3. Restrictors in. Will try idle without Carbtune.
  4. Bought CarbTune & Tachometer. Right now all set up, engine warmed up enough so fan running on radiator. Found idle at 1550. No problem do initial syncing of carbs - just to find right adj. screws. My problem is I cannot get bike to idel at 1100 - it stalls. If reving, smooths out then stalls. Minimum is 1150, still pins on carb tube move so violently hard to adjust. Why won't this bike idle at 1000. WOn't even run at 900 at book says. New fuel filter, new iridium plugs, etc. Please advise.
  5. Go down to the nearest HD dealer, buy the (Touring Accessory) Suspension Air Pump (54630-03A) for $44. Best price, best deal. It won't let the air leak out. For most applications, 4lbs (first mark) in front shocks and 25lbs in rear shock. DO NOTE go over 7lbs in front shock, unless you want a large bill. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442292571&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374309149264&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374309149264&bmUID=1217685128893&bmLocale=en_US
  6. Right now, after just over 20K miles, I started hearing same thing. Brakes work fine, no squeal, no grabbing, plenty pad left - works fine. But I get this rubbing sound at 30-50mph. Especially noticable when passing wall/concrete barrier or parked cars. Quiets when I hit brake. Brought bike to Yamaha dealership and had to pay for them to check it out. Two different mechs rode it and they say it is just the noise of the pads rubbing the rotor, which Yamah notified them about berated [sic] pads. Is there something I could spray to the pad or brake mechanism? Maybe the barke is not retracting?
