If you do ride with him make sure you take a stick and a spoon, and let him know you have it-just in case. With his attitude and that bike they will need those two items to pick up enough to bury.

So, Frank are you saying that your bike still has over a gallon in the tank, without going to reserve after the red light comes on? I've never pushed my luck, always fuel withing 5 or less miles after light comeson.
Sort of sounds like you need a higher spring rate on the coil overs so that the air shock isn't needed until overload situation. I presume it is an automotive air shock? Those thing have way too small air bladder to produce anything but a harsh ride.
Who is manufacturer of the shock/coilover?
Weigh the rear end of your trike and get with the manufacturer and allow them to correctly size the spring for your load. It obviously is way under sized now.

They certainly will! They'll wear your ankles and lower leg out. Be more fun to have her stripe you with a weedeater on your legs than to be trying walk and those things trying to kick your legs out from under you.
On my 87 I spaced them out 2", then after first ride and maneuver in garage I cut them down to 1". She never said anything about them being closer so I cut them down to ½".
