  1. Jeff I can't wait to get my set. I'll be arriving in Daytona Oct 4. I will call you when I get in . See you soon! Ron
  2. I need air vents that fits around the steering colunm. Rubber supports that goes on both sides of speedomter cluster and the front crome mud flap. thanks Ron
  3. I bought one two years ago. The first time I loaded my venture the highway pegs hit the fenders, the trailer wasn't wide enough. I called the company about the problem. They sent me an axle that was 4" wider. The wider axle is made for a goldwind. I had no trouble loading my bike. I hauled the bike to Daytona last year didn't have any trouble. The only thing I had trouble was tieing down the bike. I had to take the saddle bags off so I had more options to tie it off. You had to put a strap around the rear wheel and rail to help it from bouncing in the rail. I put six straps on it. The trailer pulled real good you didn't know it was back there. If you have any other questions let me know. Ron
  4. George, This is what I came up with. TCI - Red/White = 11.6 Ignition coils #1 primary 3.1 Secondary 13.59 #2 3.1 13.49 #3 3.0 13.49 #4 3.1 13.75 Pickup coils - gray p/u coil 116.9 w/g p/u 120.6 orange p/u 118.6 w/r p/u 123.2 8 pin connector r/w + 12V 6.8 12 Volts Gray Ignition Wire #2 9.0 12 volts Orange Ignition Wire #1 9.0 12 volts Yellow Ignition wire #3 9.0 12 volts White Ignition Wire #4 9.0 12 volts Battery reads 12.4 volts I think all of these are in range maybe... I really need to get this thing running for my son. We are planning on taking it to Daytona for him to ride. I will have my 2nd gen, but this 1st gen is just giving fits! If you or anybody else have some ideas please let me know. Thanks Ron
  5. I have a bike that is missing on the two back coils. I had Don test out the TCI and he felt it had a problem and he wasn't able to get the part for it. I got another TCI box from a junk yard in TX and installed it and I still have the same problem. I went to check out the pick up coils and the ingnition coils, but how to do I know which is PRIMARY and which is SECONDARY. The OHM's are different depending on it they are secondary or primary. Can anyone help me? I am getting very frustrated here!!!! This is a 1987 Yamaha Venture Royale
  6. I would like to thank everybody for there help. I put the ground wire on the bolt on tci box. I took a ride on the bike. I rode for about 2 miles it started to warm up and started missing.
  7. I took off all the fairing and removed the TCI box. Put the TCI box back in about 3 weeks later and now I have these wires that I can't remember where they go. They are on the left side of the bike. Help!!!!! Thanks Coach Ron
  8. I recently purchased a 1987 Venture Royale and when the headsets are on the rider of the 1987 can hear the everything, but cannot transmit to others. Does anybody have any ides?
