Could be something as simple as a misaligned float needle, I have run across that problem a few times on some other bikes.

I have a 2011 RSTD and would like to get a little better brake performance especially from the front. The brakes are stock except for the addition of steel braided brake lines there is no problem with the mechanical s but I still find the brakes to be too weak for such a big heavy bike. Wondering if any one has any tips for improvement such as better pads or aftermarket parts? Thanks

I just picked up a set of heated grip liners from Cycle Gear for $23, (who could resist?) Just wonder if any one has installed such a device and if so where is the best place to tap into the power. Thanks

To my very inexpert opinion it sounds like a loose wire somewhere in the sending circuit. Recommend you trace then check the wires for connectivity .

Just sort of thing that makes touring so special.

My bike is still under warranty so the dealer has ordered a new radio unit because mine will come on and off intermittently as well as change from radio to CB without any prompts from my side as if it were possessed. The other day the wife and I were enjoying a nice ride through the twists and turns along the Pacific coast highway when all of a sudden the graduation march started playing through the speakers at full volume. Not only could I not turn it off but I couldn't even turn it down so here goes this rig blasting this music while passing through quiet little towns. Needless to say but it felt a little embarrassing.
