Dont let em mess with your grey matter Dan,,, the issue of broken,, or even deformed snow for that matter, probably has more to do with a lack of Q.C. on Fool's end than your being told.. I happen to know for certain that his operation is basically a one man set up and Fool's expertise is more in the engineering side than maintaining quality in the final product.. I suspect that the issue is probably nozzle related (a tie wrap not trimmed properly or even chemical buildup would do it)... Hey Jeff,, just had another epiphany here,,, it may even rival the high temp snow you have been working on... How about shaping those nozzles to form shapes when the snow lands... You could start out with flower shapes and eventually even work up to motorcycle shapes.. It would be WAYYYY cool to see pictures from outer space out of Jet Propulsion Labs that show your designs... Maybe even confuse some of the Aliens who have always wondered if there really is any intelligent life down here??

During our 1st exploration of the Flaming Gorge while headed to the west coast during 2017, a local resident of Mountain View, Wyoming (met him after we invaded their local shooting range and confiscated their range lean-to to camp under during a mountain storm) had told us about a trail thru the Uinta mountains of Utah that, due to our obvious bend towards the "rougher then normal outdoorsy lifestyle" (his words) thought we would enjoy. After telling us about his successful Elk and,, get this,, MOOSE hunting expeditions into that vast mountain range there was no way,, no how - Tip, Tweeks and I were gonna leave the area without taking an extra couple days to further our exploration therein.. Placed by the hand of God Himself as a backdrop to the often overlooked and seldom ridden Flaming Gorge area and even though the Uinta mountains are a very strange bunch in that it is the only mountain range in our country that run east to west,, we found them to be absolutely nothing short of spectacular.. Here the 3 of us are again,,,, all alone,,,, high on a mountain out CTFW..

Iam sorry to read this my brother!! Your story brings tears to my eyes.. You KNOW our thoughts and prayers will be with you folks as you continue in your battle with this horrible stuff and those prayers will be wrapped in hope for a brighter tomorrow. Tip and I are with something similar here as I just finished my 3rd cancer surgery for 2017 back in December.. My weight loss was almost identical to yours as the main fist sized tumor was doubling every ninety days and the Oncologist told me the Cancer was taking its food first and not leaving much for the rest of me - I am not a hateful person by my gosh I hate cancer. My only positive in the weight loss unlike you was that I was fat when it started so I had a little elbow room. Gotta admit, it was scary though to look in the mirror when finally able to get out of bed to use the potty and see what looked like a concentration camp victim staring back me too! Don't know about you but I also think our immune systems take a hit from it.. It seems like every bug known to man likes me now and once it settles in it likes to hang on longer then it ever did.. The recent Flu epidemic that our area went thru is a good example.. Tip was successful in catching it and only puked for a day with it. My pukin lasted a week and I am still feeling groggy.. I too would suggest that you work with Kim in eating really good stuff, get the weight back on and fight for the immune system too (I know you already are doing this but thought I would state it anyway).. Craig,, I wish there was more I could do my friend... You KNOW you have our continual thoughts and prayers.. I SOOO hear that Duey I give em a break though cause I even personally heard those reps out at Sturgis talking about exactly this as a low maintenance sell point when comparing to the past Ventures... I think part of the misnomer may come in because of the similarities between the Harley Twin Cam push rod motor with their hydraulic lifters and these.. Maybe the problem often over looked by that comparison is that these have 4 valve heads instead of 2 valve so that single pushrod is opening 2 valves each and both those valves are prone to wear at some point leaving 1 exhaust valve or 1 intake valve per rocker with a definite need for manual adjustment... Funny thing is, right at Sturgis, sitting not 200 feet from those same Reps, they had a cutaway of the motor and I know those 113's had that valve adjuster on the outboard valves on each rocker (clearly visible at 2:50 in the second video).. *** DEFINITELY easier than shim buckets associated with the V-4's but DEFINITELY gonna be some valve adjusting going on and, in my experience with shim vs screw adjuster's - the screw adjusters do require significant more adjusting BUT again, the screw type like the 113's are easier to do.. I have heard, read, listen to all the performance music on this new one and have continually been confused about what I have read there too.. When we rode the Venture out there numerous times my butt dyno kept yelling at me "88 inch HD Road King" of which I have owned a couple of.. I have assisted with building and have significant experience with Harley's 103's too and definitely felt nothing in league with those scoots BUT,, again,, my butt dyno is a no body so what does it know.. Interestingly here,, now reading this article you posted I could not help but notice that the original 126 torque claim now shows 109 and the hp numbers show 76 horse.. Couple that with the horse power to weight ratio differences between my 88 inch Road King and this new one, together with the fact that this new 113 is carrying the weight of an xtra balancer and xtra alternator (another one of my power loss theories) and bingo = my wore out ol butt dyno may not be to far off!! Side note = I really do like this new one but I still have dreams of exactly this bike, with its "dont mess with me" fighter jet grill/fairing combo and that great big wide "V" shaped headlight formation grinning its nasty snarly attitude that boldly claims highway dominance from all comers from far and wide because it has a 190 hp V-4 hidden in there:178:!! I have a REALLY bad flaw in my character that involves getting overly ecstatic about bikes,, especially when one of the mainstays like our Ventures is having a complete makeover.. The latest and greatest announcement of one of these makeovers is the new Honda Wing = WOWZY is it GORGEOUS IMHO.. I have been closely following what that company has been doing (if you havent and you are still into this stuff you should check em out = new 4 valve motor, shrunk down in size with "clamshell" bags like on our beloved MK1's, huge weight reduction and EVERYTHING) over on a Wing site.. On that site there is a Moderator named "Rail" who got a very special invite to go to a press unveiling/release of the new scoot wayyyyyyy down buy bikerjohn 's in SOUTHERN :scorched:Texas (hey John,, you folks got any funny lookin white stuff gatherin in front of your garage?) with "the plan" to including some seat time riding the new scoots (lucky sucker,,,,, thinking back on Americade last year = we only got to SEE the new Venture,, didnt get to ride it,,, of course,, "we" (Tip n I) are not Moderators or nuttin so I guess I should just shut up and be thankful they even let us see it).. Armed with a plathora of Wing site questions, Mr. Rail and his wife "Betty" got on the plane and are down there now eagerly waiting to do a huge ride comparison between this amazing (Honda's words - I dont give my opinion of such things until I have a chance to see/taste/smell and torture one for myself) new bike and the old 1800 and then.... In walks @Flyinfool and his relentless turbo charged Wisconsin White Washer... Got er looking GREAT there Wiley!!!! I never really found much help with backfiring/popping exhaust assistance by changing plug heat either.. Usually in my case that popping signifies a hole in the exhaust somewhere.. It always amazed me how one tiny little pin hole in a pipe or small header gasket leak could make such obscure sounds in the exhaust when ya let off on the throttle..

Yep,,, never ever been one if those Cable TV types either - just could never see the viewing value = $160 a month always seemed like it would be more fun finding a way to spend it out CTFW.. I have one of those big TV towers laying down at back that came with the antenna rotor and controls.. I was outback measuring things up when a buddy stopped by to give me a hard time (way it is around here) and in the process of giving me the business cause he rides a HD and I ride a much faster and better looking Yamaha Venture, he said "what ya doing that for Fish Lips,,, just go down and pick up a little Digital Antenna with a booster and you will get all you want for channels"... Went shopping = $40 later, no broken back from balancing a 50 tower while standing on a ladder on one foot while the concrete set up and could even get a channel from FlyinFools area on the other side of Lake Michigan when I plugged it in = not bad!! It is directional though and get the amplified one if your gonna go this route IMHO!! A while later the Internet service guy was here.. He did his thing, found a bad ground out on our phone line (had DSL at the time) and asked me about signing up with them for our TV needs as he was putting his tools away.. After I pointed to the little antenna on top of our entertainment center while shaking my head in a no-ward fashion, he smiled and told me that he HAD to make the offer.. He then mumbled something about "free" TV streaming thru "ROKU" and told me that those things are putting a dent in their Cable TV sales = thanked him and told him I would check it out and not rat him out for being a friend.. Ended up with a $20 Roku with 1 control just for kicks.. THING IS AWESOME!! We watch our favorite shows like Fox News, Hannity, Lou Dobbs whenever we want plus endless You Tube movies about things like old WW2 movies where we kicked Hitlers butt and then we showed the Japs why they should go back to building Yamaha's and stop causing trouble.. Matter of fact,, as I am sitting here munching on a Hamburger and typing,, Tippy is watching Remington Steele on it... I also LOVE the thing cause I like to post stuff on You Tube of my own and then I can watch myself on TV - thusly probably proving why I always liked that old song that goes "you're sooo vain,, I bet you think this song is about you,, dont you, dont you?". Thing has been so awesome I even bought us a 55 inch flat screen for Christmas from a friend who needed $100 for Christmas presents and WOWZY does that ROKU love showing off on that puppy!! The only problem with the ol thread delete routine in this case is that a number of us have been praying for Dans brother and his family and following this for good while now and still would love to be informed and be able to lift them up over the info we are provided... His brother also has friends on here who know a LOT more about all this then what has been told concerning the matter = there is wayyyyyy more to this story than can reasonably discussed here without creating further problems for Dans family legally,, that is a fact.. Personally, knowing what I know about the case and also how easily it is for local, state and federal legal systems to run rampant over citizens I can understand the fuel that feeds Dan's feelings. I also know that Dan totally knows that not all Police Officers are out to get him,, there are good Troopers,, good Judges and probably even some decent Attorneys who are all into doing their jobs for far more then just money... It is still sad to say though but the frustration associated with the realization that in many cases obtaining Justice becomes almost impossible.. This is why/where, to some of us = appealing to God himself an behalf of a person like Dan's brother is so important IMHO.. Maybe this is one of those threads that we as a family need to just back off and allow Dan the elbow room to relay pertinant info the best way he knows how and cut him and his family some slack ... Maybe we need to not take everything he says as if it's aimed at us in a personal way so we don't add to his burden and,, if we cant handle just standing there and quietly sharing some of the heat that is being aimed at his family - maybe just not click on this thread.. Awe,,, right back at cha Cha on the GREATEST of the GREATEST up coming ride season = SIEZE THE DAY NOT THE MOTOR!!! Picked up a little Cancer bug along the trail somewhere and in the process of finding it and puttin a whoopin on that bug they ended up finding a few other flaws in there - that's where my new "tuner" came into play that you mentioned hearing me talk about in the Cell Phone vid.. Just had my 3rd surgery for 2017 in the middle of last month in handling the Cancer stuff - not to whine but I honestly think that getting knocked out like that is harder on me physically than anything - turns out I'm a whimp!! Fist sized tumor in my abdomen to start with - removed prostate, part of bladder with a couple inches of ureator and a couple glands.. Doing better now, just sort of got wind knocked out me BUT = its winter = PERFECT time to have that happen I tell ya!!! Ohhh heck yea,,, I know exactly what your talking about when you speak of Interior,,, THE back door to the Bad Lands INDEED - I have never done 83 to 44 but make a general practice of riding the bottom of S.D. to Wounded Knee and then up = will DEFINITELY check out your trail!! If you come into the park from Interior, hook a left thru the park and go about half way towards the west gate (that leads into Wall) you will come to a two track that heads north across the highland prairie.. Take that trail until it drops down (watch for erosion) and follow it till it comes to the north fence of the Badlands = have camped there freely for many many years = PERFECT spot for complete peace and quiet even during the rally if you find the need and WOWZY = Coyotes all night long singin their song in those endless Badland warm nighttime breezes!! Then back track in the A.M. to the east gate, hook a left on "90" to exit 116, left off ramp on gravel road for mile or so to the Missle Silo = COOL!! Got me started,, another REALLY awesome cross country off road Venture tour out there starts at the bottom of the Spearfish Canyon run... Way down in the Canyon you will come to a fairly sharp left bend in the road (if your headed south) where a great big beautiful high end fancy lodge is located (go inside = BEAUTIFUL!!).. As the bend sweeps to the left - if you go straight on the gravel road that serves as an entrance to the parking lot for the lodge - you will see a small sign that says something like "Waterfalls - this way" and there a two track heads off to the west... If you follow that two track beyond the falls (nice ride - cool falls!!) you will eventually cross the Wyoming state line (note the really cool little tin, rusty old sign tacked on a tree that says that wayyyy back in there).. There is some quad trailing you have to do out there,,, some open range cattle along the trail before ya skirt the mountains some.. Last time I went thru I pulled off in the foot hills on a game trail - dropped the tent and spent the night listening to the Elk blowin their bugles and had foot prints being made around my tent all night long (thinkin either cougar or Coyote - definitely not Bear - I always leave Tweeks to fend for herself with any food I may be carrying with her to keep bears away and camp a fair distance from her).. Talk about FUN!!! Up in the morning,, keep heading west on the trails and eventually you will come out not to far from Devils Tower,,, cant remember the name of that little town with the gas station on 90 where I came out,, Sundown or something like that,,,, but they HAVE gas and its only about 20 more minutes or so from there to that big funny shaped mound where Aliens still land like they did in that movie = Close Encounters!! Speaking of those Sturgis Police not really appreciating us standing up on the pegs to work our way thru the crowds,,, last year DragonSlayer sent me his Superman outfit with a dare to ride thru Sturgis attached... Like you,, I have received my fair share of warnings about "SIT DOWN,,, BOTH FEET DOWN AT ALL STOP SIGNS AFTER COMPLETING STOP AT INTERSECTIONS" while riding the crowds so after promising Bob I would stand on the pegs and give the crowd a show I thought it best to ask permission this time - got the old "oh heck no" response.. After swapping clothes at the Subway (phone booths are another thing of the past ,,, always makin do ) and on our way back to mainstreet I bent down from my stand on the pegs with that gorgeous red cape flappin in the jet wash and told Tippy I just HAD to risk it!! Later,, after the fly by,,,, Tip told me that she seen that same officer that told us "oh heck no" snapping pictures of us :guitarist 2: Maybe someday I will grow up to which I reply = "oh heck no"
