ADVANCE AUTO had it by the gal. for $52 and change

Had same problem on mine the pivot point on rear pedal needed to be greased didn't find problem till it started sticking and dragging

I had a 1986 bought at a salvage auction with 60,000 miles just body damage. Fixed and painted body work new tires and battery. Got it running in May at end of season had another 12,000 on it. next took of to Texas mid season ended up with another 16,000 that season now near 90,000 miles knowing no history on it started to ask around about repairs hard to find anyone to work on it and everything was very time consuming. I did tear the out side covers and body work off not a lot harder than my venture . But no great support like this site. I loved riding it till I got my Venture no comparison, more power at higher rpm. less lower end torque on venture. But the Venture rides much smoother and handles much better. That's my 2 cents worth by the way paid $800 sold it 2.5 years after buying for $900.

I have heard that most paint manufactures are not warranting their paint where soda blasting was used do to a film that remains and paint does not stick. Please check what media they use

To me it looks like if you lay it over it does not hit the crash bar.

When I bought my bike (83 VR) the antenna was broke . So I bought a car antenna and now it wont tune in a station ideas ?

Was riding home tonight great night to ride .Noticed when riding in 4th gear at 55 when I got on the throttle in kinda of chugged till I got above 4000 rpm. So I down shifted to 3rd ran smooth at 5000rpm around 55 to 60. Is this ok to at the rpm on a regular basis had a 86 Calvalcade and it didn't seem to care at low rpm. Bought my 83 VR last year and love it only has 26000 miles don't want to damage anything. This a great site you all seam so knowledgable about this bike quickly understanding why you love them
