@MonsterBiker I use Frogg Toggs top and bottom and If I recall they were reasonably priced. The bottoms are actually called Toadz and I went up a size ( 2 XXL) to accommodate the Joe Rocket pants I wear. The bottoms have straps that can go around the bottom of your boot so they don't ride up your leg, They don't get used that often but when you need them...you're glad to have them. @VentureFar I've never tried the hood of my rain gear under the helmet. I always thought you would get a pressure point on your head. I'll have to try that next time I get caught in the rain, Mark

Thanks for all the replies and that is a sweet looking bike. I checked the Corbin website to see what they still carry and they don't seem to make a seat for the first gen ventures any longer which is not surprising as there would be a limited demand for a thirty something year old bike. @Freebird the Corbin seat on my 99' Valk is well broken in with 60 thousand Km's on the odometer when I bought her. It is very firm but surprisingly comfortable on long rides and maybe a little cooler in the summer compared to the plusher first gen ventures, which are very comfortable. Corbin still offers a seat for the Valkyrie. @Pasta Burnernice looking seat you got there. It looks fairly plush compared to my Corbin and others I've seen. Adds a nice touch to your bike, Mark

Got bike going!!! Cleaned every connection around starter relay and tried to jump between pos. cable to solenoid black cable to starter and got sparks so took battery and charged up. When done took tester and checked voltage and was13volts then just after reading it started to go down to 10volts in less than a min. Found a load tester a bought last year and it said it was bad--also checked spare AGM battery I bought 2 years ago that also said it was charged and it read no good(weak). Went to" Battery's Are Us " here in Woodstock and they also checked and said bad cell so bought new AGM ($135can.) Put in bike ,hooked everything back together and bike started! Yeh I know I was told!! So thanks for ALL the advice and @Marcarlfor offering to come here to help! Greatly appreciated!!
