brewser23 Posted July 15, 2008 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2008 Just a heads up folks, spammers are at it again. Last night I received a notification from Paypa! ( no that's not a typo) saying that my acount may have been accessed by a third party and to update my information at the link provided for my "security". Needless to say I forwarded the email to Paypal. Thanks to someone posting this type of warning earlier in the year, I was aware of what was going around and didn't do something I would regret. Thought others might appreciate the heads up as much as I did. Cheers Wayne

Bob Myers Posted July 15, 2008 Share #6 Posted July 15, 2008 At it again? I did not know they ever ceased! I use paypal a lot, I mean alot, last year was over $50k. I get 2 or 3 of those evry week. Same from ebay, get at least one a week. The more active you are the more often they target you I guess.
Guindalf Posted July 15, 2008 Share #7 Posted July 15, 2008 I have a simple solution for these. Obviously if I know, I ignore them, but if I'm ever not sure (which actually never happens), I enter fake information on the site it takes me to. If it's accepted, I know it's a scam.
