N3FOL Posted September 30 Author #276 Posted September 30 It has been partly cloudy all day today, but it was the perfect day to run errands and commute to and from work. Just like you @Chaharly, I'll be riding to and from work. I just have a couple items to replace on the RSV and SVTC and that would be air filters on both. I am looking at partzilla to order the items. Once again, ride safe to all and most importantly enjoy the ride.

N3FOL Posted October 1 Author #278 Posted October 1 Just on top of my head, I think you simply remove the right side cover and there it will be...a small air filter. I have not done it yet and will double check the maintenance manual before I tackle the job. I'll post pics as soon as they are available. No special tools required.
Chaharly Posted October 2 #279 Posted October 2 Good morning. Planning a 500 mile ride this Sunday. We're planning on having the kiddo dropped off at my sister's and on the road by 7am. We'll leave Omaha and take Highway 75 up to Sioux City, then Highway 20 west to Highway 12. That'll take you north and west past Ponca (cool native history there). We'll stay on Highway 12 across the river hills until we hit Highway 81 and go north. Then we'll get to the south side of Yankton and cross Gavin's Point Dam. From there we'll take Highway 52 into highway 50 west across the South Dakota plain until we reach the west side of Wagner, South Dakota. We'll continue west and have lunch at Radar Hill, which is where the Fort Randall Casino is. It used to be called Radar Hill because there was an old Army radar station set up there. We'll continue west into Pickstown and cross the Fort Randall Dam and continue west on Highway 18 until we reach Highway 281 and travel south til highway 12. We'll then take highway 12 to highway 81 and take that south to highway 275 and head home! I'm really looking forward to it! 1
N3FOL Posted October 2 Author #280 Posted October 2 That sounds a lot of fun! Enjoy the ride and I wish all of you good Fall weather.
N3FOL Posted October 3 Author #282 Posted October 3 Happy Friday to you too. TGIF! It has been a long work week since I was called in last weekend. I am crossing my fingers that I don't get called in tomorrow or Sunday. I have lots of things to do around the house. 1
N3FOL Posted Tuesday at 10:14 PM Author #283 Posted Tuesday at 10:14 PM Good evening to all. Glad to be able to access venturerider tonight. I could not login last night and this morning, but looks like everything is back up and running. Rain in the forecast. Ride tomorrow instead. 1
Chaharly Posted 23 hours ago #284 Posted 23 hours ago I checked yesterday and didn't have any trouble I don't believe. Seems like a good morning for some coffee and a car drive. We did get our ride in Sunday, but it was only 460 miles and it was in 40mph crosswinds pretty much the whole way. Needless to say, we were beat when we got home!
N3FOL Posted 18 hours ago Author #285 Posted 18 hours ago You are right. This site was not down at all. It was a browser issue on my home computer that simply needed a to closed and reopened. Sounds like you and your fellow riders had a great time despite the crosswinds and 460 miles is truly satisfying to most riders including myself. Rode today and tomorrow will be a little chilly... must gear up appropriately. Ride safe. 1
Chaharly Posted 4 hours ago #286 Posted 4 hours ago Starting to feel that chill here, getting down into the mid 40s in the mornings. I wont be riding the bike for a few days. They are doing some repairs to our apartment building's parking lot, so I wont be able to access the garage. 1
