djh3 Posted March 21, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 21, 2019 Anyone own a 3rd Gen 2011 up Dodge Durango. We just bought an 11 from a friend. I know the history on it so that was a big factor. The wife has loved this truck since our friend bought it.

djh3 Posted March 23, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted March 23, 2019 Well its only a V-8. But lately manufactures run 2 plugs per cylinder to get that "last burn" in on exhaust gas as it escapes to reduce emissions.
BlueSky Posted March 23, 2019 Share #6 Posted March 23, 2019 Oh, the mighty Hemi! I got one of those in my 2005 Magnum. Makes me smile every time I step on the gas!
djh3 Posted March 24, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted March 24, 2019 Just did a little R N D on it today. Actually I was looking for something else. But found out that the chassis design was built by Mercedes for the Mercedes-Benz GL Which I guess is some kind of fancy suv. I know it rides nice and handles well. BlueSky Posted March 24, 2019 Share #8 Posted March 24, 2019 Daimler Benz left its mark on Chrysler vehicles when they owned the company. The Dodge Charger, Magnum, Challenger, and the Chrysler 300 are built on a Mercedes chassis and at first had a Mercedes drive train except for the engines. Now they have a German designed 8 speed auto.
Scifiman Posted March 26, 2019 Share #9 Posted March 26, 2019 I am on my second Durango, traded in my 14 Citadel for an 18 GT last fall, just 3.6 for me, it has plenty of power and with the electronic 8 speed not too bad on fuel.
