If I were you, I would call them. I bet they still have it. Looks like they have removed all Yamaha models older than 1990 from their site but I'll bet they still have it available.

I emailed Colorite a couple of years ago because mine wasn't listed. They promptly replied and said I could still get it.

When I needed paint for my 88 I just took a saddle bag lid to the local place that mixes paint for the auto body shops and they color matched it and mixed up a pint. There is a good chance that the original paint may have faded a bit and that getting the "correct" color may not match exactly.

Great news!

Color Rite still has the formula so they will make up the color for me and ship. I bought the aerosol spray package...so everything is coming my way within 4 to 5 business days.

I did suggest to Color Rite that they publish the old codes for VR's from 83 to 91 on web site...with a notation to call them to see if the color is available. I told them about our web site and the hundreds of us around the world who could use this information...

But even if they don't do this, I do suggest you call them if you need some paint for your VR.

Thank you @Freebird and @yamagrl for the suggestion to contact them!

For others information; what was the phone number and email address that got this positive result?

Color Rite

1800-736-7980. West Coast ... but got call back from East coast.

I believe both numbers are published there.
