rickardracing Posted September 24, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 24, 2015 Ok, I am replacing the steering head bearings on my Second Gen and while it is torn down, I want to replace the fork oil. I read the write up in the tech library, but I thought you needed a special pump to air up the fork. Wh o did this and how did you do it?
slowrollwv Posted September 24, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 24, 2015 The best pump to use is the progressive or the HD hand pump. They are a zero loss pump. Just remember the forks only go to 7 psi max. I have one if you need it.

ragtop69gs Posted September 24, 2015 Share #4 Posted September 24, 2015 Even a bicycle hand pump is better than a compressor, there's very little volume of air so high pressure air can blow the seals. I have a progressive pump.
