JDaniel Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Anyone know of any motorcycle or car museums near Chicago. May end up there for a couple days soon.
vzuden Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I've heard this one is pretty good http://www.volocars.com/#sthash.2c02PvYe.dpbs if you are in Chicago you are not too far from Milwaukee and the Harley Museum
BratmanXj Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Volo is over an hour drive northwest of downtown Chicago in light traffic, HD in Milwaukee can be more than 2 hours if you hit traffic. If you are driving in from Ohio: Studebaker Museum in South Bend, Indiana RV Museum in Elkhart, IN Auburn, Cord, Duesenburg Musesum in Auburn, IN (just north of Ft Wayne) Early Ford Museum in Auburn National Auto & Truck in Auburn

cowpuc Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 3 hours to http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/ and it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
frankd Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Consider the Museum of Science and Industry. It's at 5700 S. Lake Shore Drive, or just south of I-55. I know it's not just cars and motorcycles, but every time I've been there I spent the entire day totally engrossed in all the displays. It is a huge museum, you can't see it all in 1 day. It's not cheap, the minimum ticket is $18 and I think you pay for parking also. http://www.msichicago.org/
