BradT Posted March 25, 2008 Share #2 Posted March 25, 2008 I pulled the forks off and brought them to the Yamaha dealer (I think it was 150 bucks) for new seals, oil and labour to rebuild them. Just send him an email. Good prices and he makes sure you get everything that you will need for a rebuild. Also suggest you replace the stock springs with Progressives while you have the forks apart. It makes a huge difference in the ride. I believe there are instructions for a DIY rebuild in the Tech area. If not, let me know and I will send you a link/instructions. There are other places online to get parts also, just find one you like. A lot of the places have the yamaha parts fiches online so you can see the parts and click on what you want to order. GeorgeS Posted March 25, 2008 Share #7 Posted March 25, 2008 Deffinatly use NEW Parts. Seal Kits, and Replace Both Bushings on each Tube. They may not appear to need replaceing, But replace them.
